I dont think so. The ePassport tender is for implementation of IT infrastructure which is not the business Bartronics is into. I believe they are more interested in the RFID enablement of the ePassport for which they are aptly suited. Tender for this has not come out I think. So, the trigger is still a bit away....

The goverment is planning to spend 25000 crores on e-governance and guess who is going to benefit the most. In every board of a software co having even a remote connection with egovern/comp edn these kind of figures are touted as if all these amounts will go to that particular co alone. educom, vakrangee, etc etc. Lets wait and see what other projects they bag before dreaming like the proverbial farmer carrying a pot of flour to the market and dreaming of how he will kick his wife when she talks back after his becoming rich and the pot falls. As one other boarder put it well, at the rate they are borrowing most of their profits will go to the banks unlike infosys, wipro and tcs ....

@ijk123, how did you arrive at Rs. 900 crores of interest? Try to read the interview of the management given earlier. The project of Rs. 5000 crores will be completed within 2 - 3 years time. So the debt will be paid back within that period of time. So most of the Rs.5000 crore amount will be paid to company by MCD in 2 - 3 years time, only some remaining part of the amount will be paid to company during 9 years time for maintenance and stuff... The company will also be getting revenues from advertising from the kiosks which is not yet accounted by the company in this order.....

jk123... You are mixing P&L and balance sheet items. Assuming that the margin on 15-18% does not include interest, what you need to deduct as -interest cost from the expected margin of Rs 750-900 crores is only the interest component of the loan - not the principal and interest. Looking at it from a cash flow point - the total inflow will be 5750 crores (5000 crores order value + 750 crores loan) and the outflow will be 4100 crores (after deducting profit of 900 crores on order value)+750 crores (loan repayment) + 150 crores as interest (assuming 3 year loan @ 12% reducing balance) summary Inflow 5,750 crores Outflow - Job cost (4,100) crores - Loan repayment (750) crores - Interest (150) crores net inflow 850 crores For the sake of simplicity, I have assumed that the entire cost of the project will be a cash out cost and there is no non cash component like depreciation etc. So, taking the management`s numbers at face value, the actual cash profit of this project will be higher than that projected above. Friends, I think that its the e passport project for which the Bartronics management wants to go for a QIP for funds. The bid is ongoing and will be decided next month. I think the management is confident of winning it, the project would require IT infrastructure of around 300 crores and hence the QIP. This is big trigger guys..go for it!!...

Prime Focus will be difficult to trade..consider it for an investment..it will give you handsome returns if you can hold for 2-3 years..a sure shot multibagger..only few stocks have OPM as high as Prime Focus..the company is small..so it can grow at an annual rate of 40% or more..coupled with an OPM of 50-60%..this is a multibagger..hold it.....

Its not a fairy tale target. Bartronics is likely to have sales of around 2000 crores in FY11 thanks to Delhi MCD project. A couple of projects like the `Aapke Dwar` can take the revenues to 5000 crores in the next 4-5 years especially when the goverment is focusing on e-governance. The goverment is planning to spend 25000 crores on e-governance and guess who is going to benefit the most. With 5000 crores as sales and eps of around 250, it can easily touch 5000 in a booming market. Hoard Bartronics!!...

As all of us know that Bartronics has won the prestigious project from MCD. Mr. Sudhir Rao said that the revenues over the nine year period would be Rs. 5000 crore with a net profit margin of 15-18%.
A 15-18% margin translates into Rs. 750-900 crores. Now, the company is considering a debt of Rs. 750 crores for setting up the infrastructure of the same project. If we include the interest for the debt, the total amount to be paid back to the banks would be in excess of Rs. 900 crores. Since the company intends to make a profit of Rs. 900 crores only .. is the project profitable?...

This is a conservative target. Bartronics can trade in excess of 1000 within 3 years....
