Dear friends,
You can see the difference how a bank in trouble or default is dealtwith in USA. There was a fiscal crisis. The senate met and took decisions collectively. whether it is wrong or right. There was a concerted attempt to discuss and to take a decision.
Here our PM and FM give ratio/TV talks and RBI issues statements.
The Govt. thinks that the other leaders are not worthy of consutation. There will be divergent views always. That is why we call for a discussion.
Now the political parties also do not comment on the Govt. attitude, so that some corrective steps are visibly taken. The opposition parties also to be blamed. When they meet , they simply make noice or stage walk out, without discusing the issues involved and that helps the Govt. to have a cake walk.

I am now concerned with the safety of lacs of depositors. The deposit insurance cover is also not increased. There is no voice from the economists, media and share market commentators. Here in USA, we have cover for an account upto 2.5 lacs US dollors. The trade unions like AIBEA and FCII are not touching this aspect. Are they not having bank accounts? It is really very unfortunate that the biggest union AIBEA which was able to give a call for all India Strike for two days, do not send any single point for the protection of bank deposits.Thwy all think that the PSU banks are not vulnarable for the crisis. Why they they have alimited cover for one lac of rupees. It is learned that mutual funds are also selling some holdings in NIFTY.

The fiscal crisis has spread to Europe. As there are many small countires, a concerted action to face the world economic crisis is not possible. In Ireland, the Govt. immediately covered with insurance for six banks . Is it not a signal to the country leaders? Perhaps all our radars are lent to Srilanka Govt.

I do not know when we all will see the reality. God alone should save this country.

Sir brokerage + income tax etc have already been factored in. Did I say anywhere that such trading will be possible on ALL THE DAYS ? Please read my posts carefully ... I have considered only 50% strike rate in regard of the number of successful trading days. What you're saying in based on presumptions, and what I have quoted is on the basis of not just my practical experience, but on the basis of my actual performance to-date ! Did I name any other counter than Larsen ? No. You have to be extremely comfortable and familiar with the movement of the counter. And, I strongly feel that one who can't hit 10 rupees in Larsen a couple of times a day, must stay OUT of this operative ... though even if he/she can score just one-fourth of the times I have suggested ... he/she will be deemed as pretty highly successful on the basis of his annual ROI. Yes, at times my net loss has indeed been 10-20K, butm then, at times, I have gained 125K in a single day too !! So, the law of averages even things up substantially. My views for sure, and I appreciate perceptions do differ. ...

Dear DUStocks,

Playing Larsen for 5 times a day for 10 Point profit, If some one getting a 10 pointer each and every time he plays Larsen would have been a BEST Trader, consider the brokerage that you will be paying.. and if you happen to be one wrong side 50 % of the times , Then your net loss will be around 20 K

HI vm179210, some young bankers had their faces turned ashen as I showed them an absolutely down-to-earth operative to score +100% percent per annum. They had approached me with some investment plans ... assuring no more than 20-30% return (not risk-free !).

Yes, Sir, no typos here I am implying a gain of +100% percent per annum. There were plenty of arguments ... but the matter could not be be put into practice as not one of them could stand up to taking a position worth even 25K rupees (for one Larsen FUTURE lot).

In spite of all the discussions, demonstrations and convincing, they seemed pretty happy and convinced with the 9.5 to 10% FD return ... just like you vm179210. If you too would like to have a peep into the operative ... here it goes. Please don't be shocked by the simplicity of the operative.

If you just book a profit of a mere 10 rupees in one trading session on a Larsen FUTURE lot (I can do it at least 5 times per day on an average !), your earnings would be as follows :

Primary investment = 25,000 (Margin Payment for one FUTURE lot)

10 rupees x 100 (lot-size) x 10 (50% trading sessions/month) x 6 month (just half the year) = 60,000 rupees.

Return of 60K on 25K investment = 140% (pre-tax of course)

And, please note that I have provided these projections only on the basis of very realistic assumptions - just one LOT of Larsen (no over-leveraghing at all), for just 10 of the possible trading sessions (50%), and for just 6 of the 12 possible months (again 50%).

Isn't 140% return far superior to 9.5 to 10% of the FD return !

Of course, I quite agree that any investor/trader who can't score a profit of a mere 10 rupees in Larsen deserves NOTHING BETTER than the 9.5 to 10% of a bank FD instrument !

To each his own, as they always say !!

If you are 'playing' on behalf of your family & close friends, then it is fine. From your posts I got a feeling that you have struck similar deal(s) with forum members, which count as business interest posts. (in-person, I am not against it)

bty, hope to see 'bottom fished out stock list' is back in your home page. Hope no one complained on that.

Good luck and happy trading.

Cheers,
Sri...

Not necessarily ! Members of my family & close friends has been me to asking me play for them on profit-sharing basis. That was when my stakes were much smaller. As their demands on me kept growing beyond limits of reasonable proportion ... I simply refused them all. So, where now is the question of taking total strangers into my fold ??

Dear DUstocks,

Is it 'struck similar deals' or 'proposed similar deals'..!??
If it is 'struck' then your messages are certainly intended/looking for a for business oppurtunity. I am not sure weather it is right or worng, w.r.t MMB norms.

Sri

If someone is keen to explain things to you (or to other boarders) it doesn't imply he is seeking a business opportunity with you (or with others). What prompts you to assume that either I start minting money for you too ... otherwise I'm just misguiding you (and others) ? There are quite a few like you who have struck similar deals with me. I'm not a Dalal Street agent ! Go ahead, presume whatever you wish to ... I'm indeed quite happy doing whatever I am ... FOR MYSELF !

At times u may get 50/100% return. The bull period from 2003 to 2008 we are not going to see in near term. But not always we can expect such return. U r right 20-25% profit if u can make every year on your investment, it is an excellent return. Thanks....

For me, 20 to 25% return in 1 year is very very good :)

One has to be realistic. Isn't it..!

dear,

with due respect to everyone's time, let us concentrate on one basic point...
if u r sure of earning 500% return a year, why can't u make agreement with me to give me only 100% return and u will take rest of the money without investing a single buck !!!

if u can't do it.. please do not misguide innocent investors, who have already lost huge money in the market... if u have got talent, then play with others money too.. both of u and others will gain...

all the best!!

Many will get interested. It is not so easy to earn 500% return every year from options trading. I too was doing option trading since 1965 until 1995 but returns were marginal, and in our time all option trading was backed by full delivery. If we earn in few transactions, we lose in many others. ...
