Is Parsvnath undervalued

Shobhit, please checkout the balance sheet at indiaearnings dot com or parsvnath dot com. You can calculate the network easily - sum of all liabilities minus the external debt. That is the networth. Ofcourse the networth can be tied up in fictitious assets so do check out the assets side of the balance sheet too - to be conservate, I said that take only 50% of the assets value....

Its a good analysis and this is the scenario with a lot of other companies, Like Kpit cummins. But the problem is that when it is going down it might take all its worth with it, something like what general motors did in last 6 months.
How did you reach the figure that is selling at one third of its book value?

Guys, while it is fashionable to criticise real estate stocks these days, let\\\\\\\\\\\\\`s recognize that Parsvnath has posted positive earnings even in Q2 of FY09, however down they might be YOY or QOQ. It is currently trading at almost 0.33 times its book value. Are we saying that the assets on its balance sheet are all junk ! Even if the assets are valued at 50 % of their current book value, even then the share is trading at a discount to the book value. So this means that if Parsvnath winds up its business, pays its debt, the shareholders will get more money per share than what the share price is currently quoting. I am more inclined to believe it is a going concern. And if it is, then even if it posts 1 paise of profit in Q3 that is only going to increase its networth and the book value and if the share price does not go up, it will quote at even further discount to the book value then. According to my assessment, it is a steal at this price !

the only reason i think the stock is so attracted in making new lows ....may be the promoters are trying to sell some piece of land ..dear promoters in order to sell some piece of land you should own some of it ..havent seen such a bearish stock in the entire reality space ..goo short .it will fall again ..much below your expectations ..since promoters need themselves wanted to bailed out ..the most wost performing stock of market ...

You are right. Management is trying to bluff investors & potential customers. I am also very angry because of this behavior of management.
I think they will able to survive but management has lost its Goodwill indeed…

To rectify a problem, some one has to first admit it.
i was watching the interview of CEO on CNBC. According to him there is no issues, he has sold more in Oct then in Sept that also at 20% higher price. Even a fool wont believe what he is saying.
I seriously feel that it will be difficult for them to survive this tough time.

Parsvnath Developers, India`s leading infrastructure and real estate developer, has announced a joint venture (JV) with Constructora SAN JOSE, a subsidiary of Grupo SAN HOSE, a leading infrastructure company in Spain.

SANJOSE - Parsvnath Consortium had submitted request for qualification (RFQ) to National highways Authority of India (NHAI) and has been qualified to submit the financial bid for the construction of an elevated expressway on NH-4. The contract valued at Rs 12.2 billion, involves construction, designing, engineering, financing, procurement and operation & maintenance of a 19 km long 4-lane elevated expressway between Chennai port & Maduravoyal on NH-4.

No this is false , Parsavnath is not going bankrupt but yes , shareholders of this company have a lot to worry.
i have heard that promoters of this company have also a lot of unlisted companies and are planning to shift all the assets of this company to that unlisted company at throw away prices.
So becautious while investing in suc stocks.
It can be Like HFCL....
