The Bombay High Court on Monday suggested that the warring Ambani brothers could approach an independent body to resolve their dispute relating to supply of natural gas from the Krishna-Godavari (KG) basin.
`The MoU (memorandum of understanding) is not able to resolve the issue and we would suggest both the parties to approach an independent body for the same,` observed justice J N Patel.
The case relates to supply of gas from Reliance`s KG basin to a proposed power project by Reliance Natural Resources (RNRL), controlled by younger brother Anil Ambani.

This is not the first time that the court has asked the warring companies to approach a third party for a settlement. The division bench comprising justices J N Patel and K K Tated, had on August 21 suggested that the two brothers should seek the help of their mother Kokilaben to resolve the issue.
Pointing out that direct communication between the two companies have not yielded much result, justice Patel said, `Most of the correspondence between both the parties have been allegations against each other.` RIL and RNRL have submitted copies of e-mail correspondence between both the companies.
Replying to Justice Patel, Harish Salve, senior counsel of RIL, said that it is a legal matter and can only be resolved through the court`s intervention and not by any third party.
`The issue of gas pricing has to be resolved as it has not been reached through an arm`s length formula. We cannot keep the gas in the ground. We are under tremendous pressure from the government regarding the gas supply,` argued Salve. However, Salve said that RIL is ready to supply gas to RNRL at the government-approved price of .20 per million British thermal unit (mBtu).
According to the Gas Sale Master Agreement (GSMA) between the companies, RNRL is entitled to 28 million cubic metres of gas per day from the KG basin at .34 per mBtu for 17 years. RIL has refused to supply gas at that price for that period. `The tenure can only be as long as I have the gas,` Salve argued.
As per the GSMA, RNRL would also be allotted another 12 million cubic metres of gas if an earlier agreement between RIL and power major NTPC falls through. Besides, the ADA Group will have the first right of over 40 per cent of all future gas discoveries made by RIL. The case will come up for hearing on October 7...

Mr.Pillai What i want to convey is that fanatics believe in converting people from other faiths to their own religion but they themselves don`t know what religion is.They feel or they pretend that they r doing service to GOD by converting people to their own faith. We Indians have been victims to forced conversion for centuries ;numerous muslim invaders destroyed mandirs and built mosques at those places and forced people to embrace islam .Similarly,when britons invaded India , they forced Indians to convert to christianity. Religion is a grossly misunderstood word.All religions are sacred for they have been creatred by some incarnations of God at different times.But long after the initiator of a religion is gone to His heavenly abode some followers tend to forget the real purpose tought by their religion that is enlightenment and imbibe fanaticism.Religion is meant to guide the follower regarding the practices to be followed to live righteous life which is meaningful,purposeful,peaceful and takes the person to higher evolutionary pedestal.The crux of all religions is same. What good are fanatics doing to people by beating them or humiliating them to start following their own religious practices,whether they r hindus,muslims ,christians or anyone else.And one may ask the convertors does their responsibility to the person end just after superficial conversion to their own religion?If they are so truly religious ,they should see that the person is growing rightly in the newly embraced religion. Sanathana Dharma never believed in forced conversion.Rather,since time immemorial, It has given shelter to people from all over the world seeking enlightenment.The knowledge available in Sanathan Dharma in the form of Vedas ,Upanishads and numerous other scriptures is not easy to find elsewhere.So those trying to convert people forcefully to follow Sanathan Dharma are black spots on hinduism .It was never heard of before that hindus indulged in forced conversions. The avtarans like Christ,Lord Budhha,Lord Mahavira,Prophet Mohammed ,Guru Nanak who preached their pupils to spread their religion did so in order to give direction to the lives of directionless people and not to bolster their egos.This is the essence which needs to be understood....

Extending the validity of the cheque is to escape from the issues related to the misrepresentation in the statutory books. Now management has projected as if they had paid the dividend but the shareholders have not encashed an that is why the cheque validity is extended. Very smart but I do not understand what management is trying to prove??If you have declared the dividend pay it in time and gracefully.
