I have bought HCC at 59.10 / share today.Please advice how good a stock is this and its fundamentals.Lot of talk going around that with the N-deal being signed specialised construction companies would be the major gainers.But here the share price is slipping like anything from 107 to 59 today....

HCC has high debt in its book and thats the only concern.

although the current value do suggest one bounce could happen. one should do the profit booking at that time....

Stop looking at the scrip for 2 year.

Can`t suggest the target, but the problem with the scrip right now is the company is running on hugh loans & the debt equity has deteriorated, it has good expereince but risk is involved....

Dear souravkundu, I will no way read you wrong my friend.with all due respect to your words, I can differ and that is how markets are made. Difference of opinions. I am certain that BHEL will break JULY lows and that is when I want to buy in that panic. As you said, maybe if it does not break JULY lows, then i will buy it on the upside, when the market recovers and not in this no confidence zone.

Dear souravkundu, well said, thanks a lot. I concur your views that CAPITAL PROTECTION is a must and infact I have been harping on this point and also wrote some interesting points in my PROFILE on this. Indeed, the worst does not seem to be over.

Every day the mid-caps and small-caps seem to be falling with each trading session and the SENSEX is kept in trading band, so that people will think that sensex cant break 12K etc, but all MID-CAPS are cracking much lower than the JAN-LOWS and falling with each trading session.

Finally sensex will also break 12K and the market may enter in deep trouble, but then I expect the first recovery will be very sharp so that not many can buy even if they want. So one should buy specific stocks at their preferred prices rather than waiting for prices. For eg. One can buy BHEL 1100-1200 irrespective of INDEX levels. I have been bearish on market and expect the sensex to bottom out between 8800-10000.

Profit booking is something I'm pathetic at... infact I never do profit booking... and I know that its something which I have to learn doing... but currently market is full of value picks... even then I'm being a miser in buying shares...

Just remember one thing... first and foremost before you even start booking profits or thinking about profits is capital protection...

In today's time there would be very very few scrips which are not lower than their Jan prices... in this case... not only profit but capital erosion has happened...

What I wanted to imply was... the worst is not over... do not jump into any scrip without doing proper analysis and please bear in mind to invest only in sound fundamental companies... remember... capital protection...

Dear souravkundu, what a prediction dear :)
Good work. But I think there is immense value in this stock around CMP and one needs to buy at this price and keep on adding on every decline. I see the worst as 60-65 in adverse market conditions and hence great buy at the CMP for long term gains. One needs to do partial profit booking at around 140 and hold the balance shares for long term capital gains.
