The management Compact Disc obviously believes that public memory is short. This is one of the those stocks, where prices are manupalated
by operators in close liason with management. A company which boasts of 40+ EPS, and private placement at 100 when the CMP is 30+, should not fail to generate common investors confidence by paying at least 25% dividend if not more!

SEBI should initiate an enquiry about the promoters of this Periscope pictures.Because this same periscope earlier decided to take stake in the suspended company of CDi management ie,Total Exports in january 2008.But even after 10 months there is no further progress in this regard.It is clear that this Periscope is floated by somebody related with the same management inorder to create price sensitive informations to mislead the retail investors. Information filed to Total Exports on 2008 january 9th and Feb 6th is reproduced below.
Total Exports - Outcome of Board Meeting
Announcement:
Total Exports Ltd has informed BSE that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on January 04, 2008, has approved to convene an Extra Ordinary General Meeting of the shareholders on February 04, 2008 for getting approval of allotment of the following:
1. To approve and give consent to create, issue, offer and allot of 585,000 warrants on preferential basis convertible in one or more tranches to the promoters and select group Companies owned by the promoters, as per the applicable provisions of Company Act, 1956, Guidelines issued by SEBI on preferential issue, FEMA 1999, RBI Guidelines, Listing agreements with Stock Exchanges and also subject to all such approvals, permissions, sanctions and consents required if any from the respective statutory authorities.
2. To approve and issue 585,000 equity shares at Rs 10/- each in preferential basis to Pariscope Pictures Pvt Ltd, Mumbai (non promoter group).
3. Approve the alteration / addition in the object clause of Memorandum of Association of the Company to facilitate the Company to do the above businesses.

1. Alteration of object clause.
2. Increase in authorized capital from Rs 5 crores to Rs 8 crores.
3. Issue of 5,85,000 equity shares of Rs 10 each on preferential basis to non-promoters.
4. Issue of 5,85,000 convertible warrants of Rs 10 each on preferential basis to non- promoters.
NOTHING HAPPEND SO FAR ,WHY ????????

Again if you have read the news letter of CDI on its website, you could have got your answers:
Last year the Board has decided that CDI has to move forward in animation industry by creating its own intellectual property (IP), instead of merely doing outsourced work. If CDI owned the IP, the same can cash in on the collaterals by way of merchandising, the brand etc. as animation has universal appeal with no shelf life. The potential is enormous. Animation films in west are example of the kind of money and success linked to them. CDI is presently working on two animation films, Soccer and Eternal Love. Pre-production work on these two films will be completed by mid-November and full production work will start from December.
The company has animation income other than outsourcing work as given in the balance sheet. CDI develops few interesting characters on which the company owns IPs and Joker is one of them.
In next news letter (under printing), one can get full progress report on the two films and status report on Trivandrum SEZ Animation Studio.

Compact Disc is an outsourcing animation company, they do not own IPRs. The company owns IPRs for Friends Forever, a Hindi feature film and first ever feature film produced in India, in which a 3D animated character is interacting with live characters. The promos of this film can be watched on ETC & Pogo TV Channels since October 24th. The film is slated to be released by the end of this year. From the management of CDI.

Pariscope Pictures are buying shares at Rs 100/- each. Please note that unless they pay the full amount, shares can not be issued in their name. This company must have some kind of confidence in CDI and its growth plans.

why this cos taking at Rs 100/- even it available at 40.lot of questions,no proper answers.As per the BSE bulk deal announcement periscope bought some shares from open market recently .Most probably by paying 1/10 of price ie,Rs.10 only ,company expecting they can attract retail investors and sell the aquired shares to them atleast at a price above the purchase price + Rs.10 (going to pay for warrants)Any amount above this will be their profit if they opt not to pay the balance amount.

Anybody can show any result on paper.Lot of other companies are doing the same like Teledata.But only some are fools in indian market to swallow such results as such.

First,come out of guest login then command.Answer is within your question itself.The general trend of this industry and its profit margin is reflected in peer companies of this sector.But Cdi result is not following the trend,that itself is suspecious....

I have nothing to say privately.I strongly believe that if CDi`s declared results are true and there is genuine cash flow,promoter holding should not be like this. Company is showing extraordinary results for last to years.Why promoters are not opting creeping aquisition route to increase their shareholding or company itself not going for a buy back at this cheaaaaap rate?.We have a lot of examples in pastlike this which shows excellent results for a while and after few quarters either suspended or quoting below par like -Renco Gear,Richimen silk,vikas wsp,Teledata ..etc.Why the strong advocates of this company is not giving a proper explanation for the suspension of Total Exports(from the same promoters) from BSE.When it was suspended in 1996 it was quoting at just Rs.3/-. In last January when Sensex above 20000 the promoters decided to change the line of Total exports to infrastructure development,media, entertainment, film distribution and marketing business.On Feb 6th promoters decided to allot 585000 shares and 585000 warrants to promoter affiliate cos.Peroscope pictures is one of them even in that case like now in the case of Cdi.They may had a plan to relist the company after taking the allotment and make some easy money riding the then prevailing wave of infra and real estate.But nothing happend so far because they realise that there is no takers for infra and real estate now ,they may probably come back with another business plan in next bull market.So the promoter activity of these companies are extreamely suspecious and we have a lot of cos with very good valuation now,then why we need to run behind a company like this now.
