QUIZ FOR THE MOMENT:

What is the difference between cost and price?

Cost is what we incur; price is what we realise (i.e. cost + profit = price). In other words, cost is a fact whereas price is a policy.

Factors governing price :

External factors such as supply & demand, goodwill of a company, extent of competition in market, purchasing power of buyer and internal factors such as cost of production, management policy towards fixing margin are the factors governing the price.

JOKE FOR THE MOMENT:

A secretary was leaving the office one Friday evening when she encountered Mr. Jones, the Human Resources manager, standing in front of a shredder with a piece of paper in his hand. "Listen," said Mr. Jones, "this is important, and my secretary has already left. Can you make this thing work?"

"Certainly," said the secreatry. She turned the machine on, inserted the paper, and pressed

the start button.

"Excellent, excellent!" said Mr. Jones as his paper disappeared inside the machine. "I just

need one copy."

QUOTE FOR THE MOMENT:

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity;
and I'm not sure about the the universe. -- Albert Einstein

A.Rohit Ferro:
(Recommended by me @Rs50 during Oct 2007 and CMP as on 06.06.2008 is around Rs 160)FIIs like Merryl Lynch,Goldman Sachs,Morgan Stanley have entered recently. EPS for 2007-08 is around Rs22....If FeCr prices are stable , Rohit is expected to produce fabulous EPS of more than Rs45 in 2008-09.One more point:Rohit is going to enhance their mining activities in a couple of years...110MW Power station is also coming up...Many Research Reports suggest a 'BUY' on Rohit...Going to be a Star Performer in 2009...Q1 results indicate a PAT of 50Cr...Fabulous.Isn't it..?'Corporate India' Mag dated 15 Aug 2008 suggests 'Accumulate At Every Decline'..!

B.Adhunik Metaliks:
(Recommended by me @ Rs32.50 on 27.10.2006).CMP as on 06.06.2008 is around Rs170.More than 15MFs are holding this scrip. Many Research Reports suggest a target of around Rs250 for this scrip...!EPS anticipated for 2008-09 is Rs20 and for 2009-10 it is Rs34.40...Make your own calculations..!India Infoline gives a Target of Rs244 for Adhunik as on 09.06.2008..!12% Div has been declared for 2007-08 against 10% of 2006-07.

C.Lloyd Electric:
You name any branded Air Conditioner...All coils available inside belong to Lloyd Electric.A strong candidate with a BV of more than Rs 100 and EPS of around Rs20 for this year..!Ten MFs hold this stock.Lloyd Electric acquired Luvata, a company in Czechoslovakia.Promising numbers are going to be there in
2008-09.Wonderful scrip indeed..Corporate India Mag dated 15 Aug 2008 suggests 'Accumulate At Every Decline'..!

D.Tata Metaliks:
EPS Rs 27 with a BV of around Rs 80...70% div declared for 2007-08.Expected EPS for 2008-09 to be Rs32.Lot of Growth Stories are there including DI Pipes manufacturing & Castings Plant..!Target mentioned by Research Reports is around Rs220..!

E.GHCL:
Good scrip available at affordable price...More Growth Stories are on anvil....24% div for 2007-08 ;Stand alone EPS for this year is Rs10.BV is more than Rs50..!Reports suggest a stake sale in GHCL at hefty premium.Should bounce back very quickly.Demerger is also on cards..!

F.Teledata:
Strong fundas...There are many AFIs(Areas For Improvement)for good Corporate Governance...Strong Patience is needed to reap better benefits...!But don't underestimate this scrip..!Good Bounce is expected at any time..!Q1 gives an EPS of Rs2.56(FV:RS2).My views are further reinforced by the Financials of Teledata Marine.Though the Company is yet to be listed, the EPS for the year ended 31.03.2008 stands at Rs16.99 with NPM greater than 25%....Please note:Performers can't be ignored for ever...Time will prove my point.

Dear kumashish,
Just because we don't know certain inherent strengths of certain companies(which may be known to Experienced Investots), we can't brand either such Investors or Company as 'Stupid'...Hope you agree with me..!
