I believe MF`s exit because they are under redemption pressure.Usually they do not have much choice but to book profits as and when redemption go up! interesting note is that if you check bulk deals in recent times both Sandstone and citi have invested heavily in this stock.

also typically when market pulls back it is large cap which responds first them mid and then small caps. MF`s flock to large caps to recover their losses.

stock is definitely moving towards realistic price after being oversold! in this frenzy market there is no logic on why stocks get beaten up or move up! yes there are signs of Large buying and selling by some brokers. what is important to know is whether company financial s are in good shape?
sometimes market takes long time to recognize value in stock? unless some analyst like Vijay comes on moneycontrol and comments on CNBC , it is very difficult to get attention of large audience.
on annual basis it is far lower than book value? it is also top 10 companies with cash according to Profit magazine. it`s anybody`s guess now about stock price movements!...

I agree with both you in bits and pieces, at the peak of bull market PE ratios`s goes for a six , I know at one point Karturi was in hig 20`s in it`s PE. what is important to know is it is a good stock, however how big a multibagger it can become is always a million dollar question. but next immediate target is 12Rs for sure....

their last quarter profit is roughly 100crores. Aprt from that they green field projects in Ethiopia which will add to bottom line. I guess if the growth rate is maintained it is easy to switch debt or pay off!...

i agree with your commodity cycle concerns! but Karuturi food plans are mainly out of African region where primary buyers are government and NGO. I guess demand is always there because low national production. do not forget tax free status on Agriculture and Export gains.

Important thing to note in Floriculture and agriculture is entry barriers to establish your name in global markets. In value investing terms there is definitely a good moat in Karuturi business!...

if i have to bet one stock on my life savings! then this is it! When market collapses ,no one sees logic or value in stocks and you can find gems here. this is definitely multibagger of warrenbuffet type!

Yes, Prem. If I remeber correctly, Citi `Mauritius` (whota tax heaven!!) had acquired 72Lakh shares @7.05. There is another reason why many could spot this stock quite early: there is a circuit limit of 5% either side. So, it cant runaway, neither it will crash. But sure, it will test your patience - It may take months before it reaches a fair price, and if the market turns better AND if the next querter results are inline with expectation (EPS of 0.9 to 1.1), we may see a flocking again....

On conservative basis considering the model of Karuturi it should command PE of 10 and on expected annual EPS of 4.5 it should have price of 45 once the market stabilises and FI selling stops.Therefore on current price definitely a big multibagger. anil...
