News Verification : The media had reports that Global Vectra Helicorp Limited is in talks with private equity players and FIIs to sell the minority stake. The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company. Global Vectra Helicorp Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "The company has not discussed/informed about "Stake Dilution" and we deny any such statement by the company."...

With reference to the news item appearing in a leading financial daily titled "Global Vectra stake dilution", Global Vectra Helicorp Ltd has clarified to BSE that Mr. Ashwin Bhatt has been appointed Vice President Finance as CFO of the Company.
Further the Company has informed that, the Company has not discussed / informed about "Stake Dilution" and the Company deny any such statement by the Company....

On the spike yesterday, I bought 136 @ 72.20 so my average is now 147/-. Tried to look for news that would trigger demand for the script on the net, but came up nil. Delivery volumes were low yesterday, so is this a OPERATORS ploy? Any one out there who has info on the script, pls. post your view. Don.

Based on the business they are in, the infrastructure they have, the scope for expansion in business thru offshore exploration , this co. has to give returns in the long run. That is why I am holding @ 192/-.
Although I have been holding the script since Feb, 2007 , I have not received any communication whatsoever, from either the registrar or the co. itself. That is worrying.
Any one tracking this stock and has a useful opinion , based on facts are requested to post the same . Tks, Don

Global Vectra Helicorp Limited has informed the Exchange vide notes to Accounts in the Unaudited Financial Results for the quarter ended June 30, 2008 (taken on record by the Board of the Directors of the Company at its Meeting held on July 30, 2008) that : "Consequent to the announcement made by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India ("ICAI") on 29 March 2008 in respect of Accounting for Derivatives the Company has decided to early adopt Accounting Standard (AS) 30 Financial Instruments : Recognition and Measurement with effect from 1 April 2008 only to the extent it deals with matters not covered by any of the notified accounting standards, applicable laws and regulations, and their authoritative pronouncements. Accordingly, the Company has fair valued the principal and interest swaps entered into hedge the external commercial borrowings at 30 June 2008 and has recognised a gain of Rs 55.02 Lakhs for the quarter ended 30 June 2008. Other Income is higher to that extent. As per the transitional provisions of AS 30, the Company has adjusted the fair value gain on the principal and interest swaps aggregating Rs 18.32 Lakhs to the credit of the opening reserve and surplus at 1 April, 2008"....

However Management believes that further investigation will show that this helicopter is complying the guidelines of custom and other relevant authorities and the same will be release at the earliest....
