As a share holder of this, I would not recommend a buy back, but instead i want the company to utilise this cash for a
buyout in india or abroad. at least keep the cash as loans are getting costlier. Hunt for more project deals and increase the
value .

shorters are always have to buY it at some point in time. as a long term investor and having hugly invested in this , I want
management to act smartly, NO BUY BACK. I don know why all other peers are selling at high PE multiples.

Let me tell all the shareholders(longterm), that we are not like Infy or TCS as our business model is non linear, we don have
wage inflation risk, currency is favourable(after covering hedging losses), TTL and insurance are emerging great verticals.
All in all increase EPS by performance and not by buybacks.

last word on hedging , it is a tool to protect profit and not to make loss or to gain huge profit. I always belive in the quality of
management. I expect a decent numbers of 5-6% growth in topline.

Regards,
Richard.

dear all,

As anticipated, this counter is getting ready to witness some upside in the short term by moving out from the oversold zone.

Traders with enough risk appetite can try their luck in this counter with strict stop losses in places.

However this shouldnt be mistaken as call for LT investors.

dear all,

As anticipated this fundamentally strong counter which entered in to oversold zone started witnessing good upside.

This is a good counter whether it is for delivery based trading or for long term investment with the expectation of a good dividend yield.

How ever under the present the market conditions, LT investments should be done in very small chunks with a very long term perspective that too only on days when markets freely fall.

regards...

stock worth holding..

Posted by : novice1000

dear all,

In this carnage, just like every other counter, LIC housing finance got beaten down.

This is a fundamentally good counter with very good dividend yield.

At cmp of 220 levels, present annualized dividend yield is almost 4.5%.

Those who dont worry about the exact bottoms and who have the money to accumulate and willing to hold it for longer time can consider buying in to this stock in small lots.

Investments in this counter will yield good dividends which will be a great relief in bearish times.

What postal ballot? I am holding 3400 shares. Consider the small equity base of the company, 3400 is a substantial number of shares for a small retail investor, and I got no postal ballot!!! This management is a big chor. They treat small investors will a lot of disdain. I have not plan what they plan to do next.

150 cr is ten times the size of theit IPO. Are they looking at equity dilution????

Cheers,
D....

If it was so easy to predict the future trends, many many of them would be billionaires by now.

When oil hit 100$ and declined, even the greatest experts predicted that it would hit 40$. It didn`t. On the contrary, It rallied back hitting an all time high of around 140$. And when it hit 140, the experts predicted that it would hit 200$. It`s back to 80$ now.

2yrs back, the stock was available at almost the same price that it is today. Since then, it opened it`s Singapore subsidiary whose profits tripled the last quarter. It has diversified into dredging and oil rigs. It has also borough coal mines in Indonesia and Mozambique.

There is a saying - "When it gets tough, the tough gets going". Mercator has one of the smartest managements. They surely would not sit idle looking at their market cap erode so drastically.

The stock is a gemstone. Might test your patients, but if you do have the patients, you will be rewarded accordingly....

REPLY FAST:-

downturn in global economies seems to have put the Indian shipping industry in stormy waters. A slow down in consumption coupled with falling freight rates has not only impacted the companies’ profitability but has also put the brakes on their volumes.

The players, however, say it is just the beginning.

Vikas Mohammed Khan, Chairman & CEO of Emirattes Shipping Lines FZE said, "This is the just the beginning! The slowdown may carry on for the next two years."

Meanwhile, the container movement to the US east coast has grown by 10 per cent while it has declined 14 per cent to the west coast.

However, industry sources fear that there could be a small decline by the year-end.

In March, SCI and its partners, Orient Overseas, Emirates Shipping and Zim Integrated, suspended their weekly direct service IDX to the US east coast because of lower demand and overcapacity. Moreover, dry bulk cargo rates are down with the Baltic Dry Index, hitting a 52 weeks low at $ 3,746.

Indian shipping majors like Essar Shipping are of the opinion that they are relatively insulated, as 50-70 per cent of their business is done on a long term contract but they remain concerned about the long term prospects.

AR Ramkrishnan, CEO of Essar Shipping, said, "The freight rates are volatile and slowdown will have an impact."

The damage so far may not be major but experts opine that the global crisis may get deeper. Although the Indian companies have hedged on the freight rates, they will they be able to cope with a falling demand

decupling can be good only till we quote relationship between particular Huband and his wife. If we are taliking abouts the whole community of Husbands and Wives, decoupling can carry some sense.
This theory is wrong EB INITIO to me. How Economis can be decuplled?

Our Total outlay of Budget is around 537000 lakh crorers and total of not less than 27 % till last budget was contibuted by It sector.
Now It sector it self derieve 37 % of its earning from out sourcing. How long you can remain un-touched from the main streamofthe world??

talking and profounding is one thing and practising is s different....

Economies are already decoupled. Indian, Chinese Economies are growing around 7.5-10 % inspite of the financial crisis in US, UK and other parts of the world. Is it not DECOUPLING ?

Hence ECONOMIES CAN GET DECOUPLED BUT STOCK MARKETS WILL NEVER GET DECOUPLED. Incase if a particular stock market gets decoupled, because of their own liquidity, that particular economy will suffer severely later.
