HCC is a reputed, well established construction (ifrastructure in a big way)company with a substantial order book in hand. In addition it is quite deft in utilising latest project magement techniques. Hence, I believe it will go a long way northwards in mid term....

Thanks for the details. I believe HCC would be well on time. HCC doesn't seem to be much active in Karnataka. Is there any reason for the same?

In addiiton Gulab Kilachand is appearing on TV too often for my comfort. He is trying to talk up the stock price.
That means that some bad news is in the offing inthe next 3-4 months....

Dear novice1000... how can you do this??? how can you say that HCC is the best scrip in this sector and mark me as a recepient of this message when you very well know that my first love NCC is also in this same sector. :-))) just chill budz... just trying to pull your leg...
I guess your message is quite clear... 4 years down the line the power plant projects would have also started... and same goes for the metro rail as well..
am glad that you marked this message to me... I had written off HCC from my investment list a few quarters back... you force me to give it an even evaluation..
thanks maite... hope things are fine at your end... by the way... what are you upto these days? are you trading?
regards sourav...

dear sriman,
Well done.I have been expecting it from you....
Now let me ask you one question.
Howcome you missed out another part of the same msg----
\\`I am talking in general about the stocks those belong to sectors which might go through a rough phase in the near future.\\`
So if you add both parts, it will give you the answer also.
To be more clear, my question to nadhi sir was more a generic one related to a sector which is about to enter in to a rough phase.
In the same msg, i also wrote that \\`And i know even in tough times, there will be select stocks which may do well.I accept about it but they may be less in number and my question is about the remaining stocks which are unlikely to preform in the near future.\\`
Now coming to HCC, though it is likely to face the same problems like any other company from the same sector... it is having some edge compared to its peers which i already mentioned in this thread.\\`
When other companies are entering in to rough phase, it is coming out of rough phase( rough phase was b\\`coz of bandra worli sea link) which makes it a relatively safer bet.
And present timing is good b\\`coz it is the only company other than L&T to have some exposure to metro and prior exp in nuclear power projects which are intangible and not reflected in numbers.
While nuclear power projects will take some time before it becomes a reality, metro works were begun in B\\`lore and Mumbai and Hyderabad are on the verge of finalizing the metro projects.
So when a stock looks relatively stronger and when that is coupled with good sentiments, there is a possibility that money will flow towards that stock.
My question to nadhi sir was not about the absolute lows....rather it was about making an investment decision in to a sector which is about to enter in to a rough phase.
regards
