Narendra Modi says he will take care of Nano the way Yashoda took care of KRSNA.

But Krsna ate mud and Yashoda exasperated wanted to nab Him and asked him to open his mouth and what did she see,

She saw the whole universe in his mouth, and then the Village of Gokul and in it she saw herself asking Him to open His mouth. LOL... she wondered if it was some hallucination and immediately forgot he was God... BET Nano wont be such fun....

Subasu,

I take a spoon of flax seeds everyday... it aids in the production of HAPPY HORMONE (seratonin) in the brain!! Its difficult to chew flax seeds, they go straight down ur gullet.. best is to buy flax meal (the powdered form and sprinkle it on your sandwhiches or put it in water and gulp it down)

Yes it fights cancers and prevents cancer....

With list of health benefits as long as Gretzky`s scoring record, it is no wonder scientists are nuts for flaxseed! Here`s why you need flaxseed in your diet. It`s one of the richest sources of omega-3 fatty acids, a type of fat that your body can`t manufacture -- you can get it only from food. Sadly, due to our poor eating habits and (even poorer) food manufacturing processes, North Americans` diet are dreadfully deficient in them. But omega-3 fatty acids keep our brains healthy (even easing depression), they fire up our immune systems to prevent illnesses like cancer, ease inflammation and arthritis, and help control diabetes. They`re also heart-friendly and cholesterol-lowering. They make our skin glow and help relieve constipation. Heck, they even help us shed pounds.

Milled or ground flaxseed, full of cancer-fighting lignans and a great source of fibre, tastes great sprinkled on cereal or used in baking. Flaxseed oil is very sensitive to heat and oxygen, so make sure it`s refrigerated -- even when you buy it -- and don`t every cook with it (that makes the oil rancid). You can add a tablespoon of flaxseed oil to juice, smoothies, oatmeal, sauces or yogourt, or use it to make salad dressing. There you have it. The facts on flax!

(We are interested in your health! Do not ignore this message!)

(Particularly, when stock markets all over the world are falling every day, you may need some good quantities.)

Yes bookworm,

RITUAL PURITY is what the brahmins practised which got branded as untouchability. LOL.

Regarding sneezing Robert has this to say. Sneezing is a nervous impulse

Quote

A nervous impulse is also a substance, it has a name and can be described; it has a form albeit unstable; and it has qualities. The impulse is the progeny of the underlying matter in which it arises adn is different from that matter; its effect on the system is different from the effect of that matter on the system. All parts of the system interact with each other and with the outside world continually. When any substance, including time and space, impacts upon you, its qualities, innate and added, influence your system.

SO RITUALS ARE VERY IMPORTANT IN AYURVEDA.. Applying sandal wood paste to the center of the forehead may be a ritual or it may be a coolant to the third eye (a force located in between the eyebrows)...

Dear Radhika,
Even, that which we call ritual purity, had its genesis in something meaningful at the time it was practiced and was not considered a ritual. We now call it a ritual, because, we do not understand its purpose, meaning and why it was done at that time. e.g. A NEW mother along with the NEWBORN was forbidden to meet other(even the household members are kept away)people for 40 days. If practised now is considered a ritual. I hope U understand. Further, sneezing just before going out is considered inauspicious, and there is a ritual to wait for some time and then procced, it simply was give rest to Ur WHOLLY SHAKEN body. Will U consider it a (useless) ritual or "ANDHVISHWAS". Such things are also there in other religions also, have U ever seen a MUSLIM make "WAZOO", even if he is sitting below a tap of flowing water.

Many of us ask “what is happiness?” Happiness is a choice, Happiness is a state of mind. Happiness is a journey not a destination. Some pursue happiness, others create it. Realise true happiness lies within you.

What distinguishes happy people is that they have a different attitude; they interpret the world in a different way and go about their lives in a different way. The greatest discovery of our generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitudes of mind. You do have control over your happiness. The state of your life is nothing more than a reflection of our state of mind. Gautam Budha said “All that we are is the result of what we have thought.”

We at “DIL KA DWAAR KHOL” believe each morning is the open door to a new world--new vistas, new aims and new tryings. We believe that everyone is the keeper of a dream to be happy and by tuning into one another`s secret hopes; we can become better friends, better partners, better parents, and better people..

Meher Baba (1894-1969) often used the expression "Don`t worry, be happy" when cabling his followers in the West. Later, in the 1960s, this well used expression by Baba was printed up on inspiration cards and posters of the era. In 1988, Bobby McFerrin noticed a similar poster in the apartment of the jazz band Tuck & Patti in San Francisco. Inspired by the expression`s charm and simplicity, McFerrin wrote the now famous song. In 1988, Bobby McFerrin`s hit song, "Don`t Worry, Be Happy" was included in the soundtrack of the movie "Cocktail", and became a hit single the following year. In an interview by Bruce Fessier for USA Weekend Magazine in 1988 McFerrin said, "Whenever you see a poster of Meher Baba, it usually says `Don`t worry, be happy,` which is a pretty neat philosophy in four words.

Earth represents for us all that is individual and particular in existence, and Sky stands for all that is cosmic and general. Mother Earth stands for the contraction of energy into matter, and Sky-Father for the expansion of matter into energy.

A dividing cell produces two poles within itself, and then polarizes into being two parts, which accumulate at the two poles.

Two poles also develop during human mainfestation, centered at what becomes the head and the base of the spine, the limited earth and the unlimited sky.

G7 outlines broad but vague plan to combat crisis

WASHINGTON -- The Group of Seven finance ministers and central bank governors on Friday set out a broad "plan of action" to stabilize global financial markets, in a one-page plan that was sweeping in scope but short on specifics.

Saying "urgent and exceptional action" is needed, the financial and monetary leaders vowed to use all available tools to support systemically important financial institutions and prevent them from failing.

Also on the to-do list were unfreezing credit and money markets, ensuring banks can raise capital from the private sector, ensuring that deposit insurance regimes were robust, and repairing secondary mortgage markets where appropriate.

The actions should be taken in ways that would protect taxpayers and avoid damaging other countries.

Interest rate policy should be used "as necessary and appropriate," the G7 plan said.

It is unclear whether the plan will go far enough to satisfy financial markets, which are suffering from a profound loss of confidence.

Economists have said they want the G7 to agree on measures including sweeping guarantees of bank deposits and interbank lending, as well as direct injections of taxpayer money to recapitalize ailing banks.
"They have to deliver the goods because the markets are just not going to stabilize unless they do," said Brian Hilliard, head of economic research at Societe Generale. "And the goods are government guarantees of deposits."

Ken Rogoff, a Harvard University professor and former chief economist at the International Monetary Fund, said Friday there needed to be an "overwhelming" G7 statement.

"I think the worst thing to do would be to come out with a very tepid response," he said. "It would be the end of the G7.
"This is really the mother of all financial crises since World War II, and if the G7 leaders can`t ... get it together and come out with a very effective statement, it is going to be a sad day indeed."

With global equity markets plunging, the odds of coordinated action "are increasing by the hour," Hilliard said. "The gravity of the situation is just obvious to everybody."

Buses

Fuel cell buses (as opposed to hydrogen fueled buses) are being trialed by several manufacturers in different locations. The Fuel Cell Bus Club is a global fuel cell bus testing collaboration.

Hydrogen was first stored in roof mounted tanks, although models are now incorporating inboard tanks. Some double deck models uses between floor tanks.

Bicycles

Hydrogen bicyclePearl Hydrogen Power Sources of Shanghai, China, unveiled a hydrogen bicycle at the 9th China International Exhibition on Gas Technology, Equipment and Applications in 2007.

Motorcycles

ENV is developing electric motorcycles powered by a hydrogen fuel cell, including the Crosscage and Biplane.

Airplanes

Companies such as Boeing and Smartfish are pursuing hydrogen as fuel for airplanes. Unmanned hydrogen planes have been tested, and in February 2008 Boeing tested a manned flight of a small aircraft powered by a hydrogen fuel cell. The Times reported that "Boeing said that hydrogen fuel cells were unlikely to power the engines of large passenger jets but could be used as backup or auxiliary power units onboard."

Rockets

Rockets employ hydrogen because hydrogen gives the highest exhaust velocity as well as giving a lower net weight of propellant than other fuels. It particularly shines on upper stages, although has been used on lower stages as well, although usually in conjunction with a dense fuel booster.

The main disadvantage of hydrogen in this application is the low density and deeply cryogenic nature, requiring insulation- this makes the hydrogen tanks relatively heavy, which greatly offsets much of the otherwise overwhelming advantages for this application.

Hydrogen vehicle

A hydrogen vehicle is a vehicle that uses hydrogen as its on-board fuel for motive power. The term may refer to a personal transportation vehicle, such as an automobile, or any other vehicle that uses hydrogen in a similar fashion, such as an aircraft. The power plants of such vehicles convert the chemical energy of hydrogen to mechanical energy (torque) in one of two methods: combustion, or electrochemical conversion in a fuel-cell:

In combustion, the hydrogen is burned in engines in fundamentally the same method as traditional gasoline (petrol) cars.
In fuel-cell conversion, the hydrogen is reacted with oxygen to produce water and electricity, the latter of which is used to power an electric traction motor.

Vehicles

Buses, trains, PHB bicycle, cargo bikes, golf carts, motorcycles, wheelchairs, ships, airplanes, submarines, high-speed cars, and rockets already can run on hydrogen, in various forms and sometimes at great expense. NASA uses hydrogen to launch Space Shuttles into space. There is even a working toy model car that runs on solar power, using a reversible fuel cell to store energy in the form of hydrogen and oxygen gas. It can then convert the fuel back into water to release the solar energy.

The current land speed record for a hydrogen powered vehicle is 333.38 km/h (207.2 mph) set by a prototype Ford Fusion Hydrogen 999 Fuel Cell Race Car at Bonneville Salt Flats in Wendover, Utah on August 2007.

Automobiles

Many companies are currently researching the feasibility of building hydrogen cars and most of the automobile manufacturers have begun developing hydrogen cars, see list of fuel cell vehicles. Most of these vehicles are currently only available in demonstration models or in a lease construction in limited numbers and are not yet ready for general public use. The recorded number of hydrogen-powered public vehicles in the United States was 200 as of April 2007, mostly in California.[3] Funding has come from both private and government sources. Stocks slide sharply amid shattered confidence

Dow industrials recover from earlier plunge that pushed index below 8,000

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stocks on Friday plunged for an eighth straight day in a wild trading session that saw the Dow Jones Industrial Average fall more than 500 points three times to under 8,000 only to battle back as fears escalated that the trauma in the credit markets could be paving the way toward a global recession
