Dear Uday Raj,
On behalf of all small retail shareholders of HFCL I would like to thank you for your letter to HFCL management.
I dont think that they will ever reply to it as they have no principles or morals. Their actions are completely opague and guided by greed & selfish goals.
Anyway lets hope that your letter appeals to their conscience & they give a reply.

Sub: Guidance w.r.t. company’s performance, Datacom and plans for 3G participation
Dear Mr Nahata,
I am a shareholder in HFCL and am pained to see that after repeated reminders no clarity is being given from your end.
You are wanting to go to the court against Dhoot for running Datacom against principles of corporate governance.
Just what exactly are all the HFCL shareholders to think about your principles of corporate governance and what do you expect them to do about it? All these shareholders have stood by you in the worst of times, felt cheated over and over again, first on the business turnaround story and then on the manipulation of spectrum allotment to Datacom at the cost of HFCL shareholders. We all expect some feedback and clarity with your policy regarding Datacom and your future plans for 3G auction.
Any sincere, informative guidance given by your esteemed self will be appreciated by the shareholders, and will add credibility to your dwindling reputation.
A few shareholders have approached me to form an association to oust the present unworthy mngmnt, who is failing to deliver results in the sunrise telecom industry and purposely failing to get the spectrum whereas measly competitors like Shyam Telelink have bagged the PAN India spectrum without cheating their shareholders. Please do not consider it as a threat but try to understand the helplessness of the investors.
I am posting this letter on the MMB of moneycontrol in the hope of receiving an early response from you.
Thanks & Regards
Uday Raj

Dear Wagabond,
I read nothing into such messaages posted by guests. They r just having fun seeing reactions/excitement of HFCL investors on such baseless news. They know HFCL investors (mostly) r getting frustrated with Nahata\\`s intransparent policy.

I have verified with the management of LG Group at top levels, about hfcl take over and they laughed saying which fool told you this rubbish.
I guess that some investors are frustated with the hfcl share being stagnant, so they just keep posting one liners.
In my opinion, hfcl is a high risk / high gain stock. Either we will make a lot of money or we will loose everything.
Basically we are at the mercy of Nahata and his operators.

Datacom- A Staged Drama

I agree that this is staged drama
My gut feeling is HFCL Infotel will be demerged from HFCL & merged with Datacom. Retail investors may get a raw deal as Nahata is a selfish person
HFCL (without HFCL infotel) may be taken over by some body like LG or Huewi ( chinese telecom manufacturer)
In light of above possibilities all retail investors should hold as we have very little to loose
I have learnt a lesson hard way i.e. never buy a stoch unless we are sure about credibility of promoters & there commitment is unquestionable
I request all boarders to share all information available in interest of small retail investors like us....

Dear udayraj,
He has made all these booty by cheating HFCL Shareholders and continues to do so while he is associated with HFCL that too drawing fat salary from a sick company. Why can not you initiate an association of HFCL Shareholders to impeaxh Nahata like General Mush in Pak? All should unite and punish Nahata so that he will have no corporate life hereafter!! You count on my support for this.

Telecom JV Datacom heads for a courtroom battle
Press Trust Of India / New Delhi August 11, 2008, 17:02 IST
Even before its take off, telecom joint venture Datacom is heading for a courtroom battle, with HFCL\\`s Mahendra Nahata alleging that his alliance partner V N Dhoot of Videocon is reneging on commitment and has threatened to take legal recourse.
Nahata, whose firm was given the telecom licence before he decided to sell majority stake to Videocon, hit out at Dhoot saying that the joint venture was being run as a proprietorial firm without he getting the due weightage as a partner.

I find it amusing when our dear Nahata is alleging Dhoot of not running Datacom as per principles of corporate govrnence. Ha. Ha....The following is from Business Standard:
According to sources, Nahata has asked for about Rs 2,100 crore to sell his 36 per cent stake in Datacom and Rs 450-500 crore compensation for not merging HFCL Infotel\\`s telecom operations in Punjab with Datacom as per original agreement.
Both parties held talks to reach at an amicable solution but failed, with sources saying that Nahata has rejected the proposal in which Videocon is understood to have offered 4 million and that too over a period of 18 months.
Datacom has a pan-India license to offer mobile services and the company was originally promoted by Mahendra Nahata who had sold 64 per cent stake to Videocon promoters due to financial constraints and on a condition that Nahata would get 36 per cent equity free.
