Nectar Lifesciences has declared good results for the first quarter ended Jun-08. Total Income has gone up by 2.43% to Rs 1,864.98 million in the first quarter ended Jun-08 as compared to Rs 1,820.74 million for quarter ended Jun-07. The Net Profit is up by 40.88% to Rs 241.01 million for quarter ended Jun-08 as compared to Rs 171.08 million for quarter ended Jun-07. As compared to Mar-08 quarter, the Total Income is down by 3.59% and the Net Profit is down by 5.4%. The Operating Profit margin has improved in Jun-08 quarter by 353 bps to 20.35% as against 16.82% for Jun-07 quarter. The tax provision is very minimal in Jun-08 quarter amounting to Rs 0.4 million as against Rs 21.57 million in Jun-07 quarter.

The EPS for quarter ended Jun-08 is Rs 15.83 as compared to Rs 11.49 for the same period last year. If current quarter’s EPS is annualized the EPS for FY-08 would be around Rs 63. At current market price of Rs 307 the PE is 4.87.
