Lg Balakrishnan & Bros Ltd has informed the Exchange that "Pursuant to Section 192A of the companies Act 1956, read with the Companies (Passing of the resolution by Postal Ballot) Rules 2001 a Notice dated 30th May, 2008 was sent to shareholders seeking their approval through postal ballot for the Ordinary Resolution for transfer, sale and/or dispose of the Industrial Chain Division situated at D.Gudalur, Vedasandur Taluk, Dindigul -624620, Tamilnadu. Mr. M.D. Selvaraj, Company Secretary in Practice was appointed as the Scrutinizer for this process and he has submitted his report to the Company. I am pleased to announce the result of the postal ballot process based on the report submitted by the Scrutinizer. The result of the voting conducted through postal ballot on the ordinary resolution under Section 293 (1) (a) of the Companies Act, 1956, relating to disposal of the Industrial Chain Business of the Company". Further the Ordinary Resolution as per the Notice dated May 30, 2008 for sale of Industrial Chain Division at D.Gudalur, Vedasandur Taluk, Dindigul -624620 is accordingly hereby declared as passed with the requisite majority.
