Yes Great Offshore promoters looks caring for shareholders otherwise they could dishoner the agreement which is in favour of promoters as they already collected money at Rs850/share and scrip is available below Rs300. Samething happened with Core project. Core project promoters did not fill up the gap as lenderer offloaded entire shares in open market which has dragged core project from Rs250 to Rs34. Core is not able to sustain above Rs50 after so much fall because nonebody is ready to pick up that stock.

Great Offshore Limited has informed the Exchange regarding Post Buy-back Equity Capital. The Company has bought back and extinguished 9,78,977 equity shares. Further, post extinguishment of the above mentioned numbers of equity shares, the present Paid-up Capital of the Company is Rs.37,13,95,040 (divided into 3,71,39,504 equity shares)....

It has recovered from days lows 209 and finally closed in green. Looks like promoters has taken positive steps to lenderes terms.

Hi Chief any idea why this counter tanked so much today. This stock was defensive till sometime back. I would like to consider this stock for investment purpose. Any idea why this has crash to this level?

I hope they remain strong and stand with their commitments with lenders to protect share holders otherwise we had similar case last month.
Great Offshore touches 52-week low

Great Offshore has touched a 52-week low of Rs 200. At 11:01 am, the share was quoting at Rs 222.20, down Rs 22.65, or 9.25%. It was trading with volumes of 123,697 shares. Yesterday the share closed down 15.80% or Rs 45.95 at Rs 244.85....

what I know is the promoters are good and this stock too is good.. I had expected it to come down to even 150 levels.. these are crazy times and offer good opportunities to those who have cash and can purchase.. even yesterday I purchased at 250.. it is very difficult to predict a bottom.. and yes.. at a capital base of 37 crores( as per financial results of 30 sep 2008 though money control shows the capital to be 188 crores ) , these has very good assets and a steady stream / revenue.. I believe this is indeed a good stock to have.. and buy at steady dips.. My own holding is about 250 shares.. averaging since 650 levels !!! if you can hold on and not look at th markets for the next 1 year then buy a little at every dip.. and if it goes below 150.. I will definitely look at increasing my holding to over 500 .. and below that it is anybodys guess.. God bless !!!...
