true i fully agree with you...this stock is the real bellweather and has gone nowhere in the meltdown and has stayed put arnd 90 while all others around have melted sure to cross 100 as soon as the market stabalizes...

Powergrid is having the strong holding fo the central govt, the stock is not gettting higher fluctuations despite of poor market conditions it seems to be Institutions are taking very large positions in this stock. One can see a top level of this stock once the market recovers.

Powergrid is having the strong holding fo the central govt, the stock is not gettting higher fluctuations despite of poor market conditions it seems to be Institutions are taking very large positions in this stock. One can see a top level of this stock once the market recovers....

dear, day trader,as you seem to have knowledge in share market,AND as you have been kind enough to reply,Can you give me advice,if i ask this question// I have quite a few shares,(old ones)which are not acceptable in d mate,and if they are in d mate they are under 2 rs and some are de listed,or not traded or just dead shares in paper with me,DABBA shares//,i have received offers to buy my dabba shares by someone,at 15paise to50 paise and some at 1 rs to 20 rs,//Over the period of time some have started trading,and have become quite good shares // SIr,can i give you the list of shares,so that you may guide me ,whether to keep or discard them,//i can give my buy price,amount of shares,and name of the shares// shall i send you the list for guidence??PHK,

Powergrid, which has already established 70,000 kms transmission system during last 18 years, will set up an additional 70,000 kms in next five years, its Chairman S K Chaturvedi said.

Addressing the employees of western region here, he said along with construction, the maintenance of previous 70,000 kms transmission system was also necessary.

Chaturvedi said the construction budget for this region during the financial year was to the tune of Rs 8040 crores.

However from this year onwards it would be revised to Rs 12,000 crores to meet the future target, a release from powergrid said.

Is Any one received the 7% dividend for Powergrid - Its record date was 01/09/2008.
I am holding this stock since last november`07 3000@145+, Please provide me your views on this.

Power Grid Corp declares Rs 505 cr dividend for FY08---------------------------------NEW DELHI: State-run Power Grid Corporation has declared a dividend of Rs 505.08 crore for the financial year 2007-08.



Power Grid today paid Rs 247.35 crore as dividend to the government for the latter`s share held in the company, an official statement said.

A cheque of Rs 247.35 crore towards final dividend was handed over by Power Grid CMD S K Chaturvedi to the Union Minister of Power Sushilkumar Shinde.

In addition to this, an interim dividend of Rs 176.68 crore was earlier paid to the Ministry of Power for the year 2007-08. The company paid Rs 81.04 crore dividend to its shareholders.

It has registered a net profit of Rs 1,448.47 crore and a turnover of Rs 5,081.53 crore in 2007-08, registering a growth of 24 per cent in turnover and 18 per cent in net profit from that in the previous fiscal.
