I can stand brute force, but brute reason is quite unbearable. There is something unfair about its use. It is hitting below the intellect.

Example quoted by Mr.Digvijay Singh, Congress

To win-over those who have been refused Congress ticket in the ensuing Assembly elections, Mr. Digvijay Singh, a senior functionary of Congress Party has quoted an interesting example. He said that in the year 1998, the party refused a ticket to the current President of India, Ms. Pratibha Patil but now she has been made President of India because of the loyalty continued to be displayed by her to the party despite the above. It is sad that a senior leader like Mr. Digvijay Singh who also was CM of Madhya Pradesh and a current high-level functionary of the AICC should have quoted this example and dragged the office of President of India to a lower image.

RBI in future will not give money in the hands of Realtors. They made artificial bubble by hiking realty prices to the point of madness. If Indians don`t buy houses for a year, the realty market will crash by 50%.
It pains me to see that young couples mortgaging their 20 years income for repayments. Realty shares will now bounce only in 2010....

when the politicians Run out of ideas / vision they run to religion , whosoever is concerned. Is it congress / BJP / communists
all of them sail in the same boat.
They all get actively involved in religion either being pro / or / anti
Well in india Hinduism being a way of life and a not a religion by itself as it allows any one to worship from ganesha / kali / durga / rama / krishna / one is allowed to choos the god , time of worship, type of prayer, the contents of offering etc. so much liberty. A democracy by itself. That is why we have so many faiths here striving hard. Unrelentingly fighting against the very fundamentals of our way of life. The hinduism.
politicians please keep away from religion and religious gatherings. ...

Panipat: The entire Sangh Parivar, from its political party to its religious and cultural wings, reunited at one place on Sunday in a show of solidarity they last flaunted during the Ram Janambhoomi agitation 20 years ago.
This time the agenda of the Sangh Parivar conclave in Panipat town of Haryana was to defend the accused in the Malegaon blast and fight the alleged harassment of Hindus.
BJP chief Rajnath Singh alleged Lt. Col. Prasad Shrikant Purohit, a serving Army officer, and Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, a Hindu ascetic, had been unjustly arrested for the Malegaon blast.
"Politics in India has always had a deep relationship with religion in this country. I, on behalf of the BJP, want to assure the seers that maligning of their name by the UPA will not be tolerated by the party," said Singh.
Singh alleged that the UPA Government was framing Purohit and Thakur. "These investigations are inspired by political motives," he said.
RSS chief K S Sudarshan, the figurehead of the Sangh Parivar, read a poem in which he urged Hindus to protect their faith. "The concept of Hindu terrorism is sheer madness as the term Hindu stands for a tolerant and all-inclusive faith," said Sudarshan.
Hindu seers suggested forming a ‘Dharm Sangrakshan Samiti’ (religion protection committee) to counter what they alleged was the UPA government’s “vilification of Hindu saints and Army officers in the name of Hindu terrorism”.
VHP General Secretary Pravin Togadia claimed the UPA Government was on a witch-hunt. "A Hindu can never be a terrorist," he said.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister B C Khanduri, a retired lieutenant general, alleged that the Government was maligning Hindu saints and soldiers. "It is time that the Hindu community stands unified against such allegations (of Hindu terrorism)," said Khanduri.
The statements of these leaders were applauded by retired Army officers and spiritual leaders, a community the authorities claim form the core of Hindu militancy.
There is a clear reason for Hindu groups to come together now: the arrests of Hindu activists in the Malegaon blast could severely dent the BJP`s anti-terror plank.
The entire Sangh Parivar, squabbling cousins like the BJP and the VHP included, is therefore compelled to bury its differences—at least temporarily.

Masand`s Verdict: Dasvidaniya, a moving drama
Rajeev Masand / CNN-IBN
Direction: Shashant Shah
A moving drama that will undoubtedly leave you with a lump in your throat, Dasvidaniya stars Vinay Pathak as 37-year-old simpleton Amar Kaul who lives with his eccentric mother in a small suburban apartment, and works for a bully of a boss who barely looks up from his lunch while scolding him.
When a visit to a doctor for a routine stomach ache results in his finding out that he`s dying of cancer and has only three months to live, Amar decides to make a list of everything he`d really like to do before his time is up.
Directed by Shashant Shah, Dasvidaniya is heartbreaking and humorous in equal measures. Despite several missteps in the film`s second half – especially the scene in which Amar has an emotional breakdown when abroad, extending into a short monologue in which he questions his fate; also all the mumbo-jumbo with tantrics – Dasvidaniya still succeeds in coming off as well-intended and sincere.
Much of the credit for that must go to Vinay Pathak who delivers a measured performance as the cheerily upbeat protagonist with an expiry date.
The film keeps you engaged not so much on the strength of its plot, as it does for the interesting characters who inhabit it.
Sarita Joshi plays Amar`s cranky mother with a hearing problem, and she makes her one of the film`s most loveable leads.
Saurabh Shukla is first-rate as Amar`s dosa-chomping boss; and Rajat Kapoor and Neha Dhupia as Amar`s childhood friend and flame respectively never miss a beat.
Gaurav Gera, playing Amar`s younger brother is appropriately unobtrusive; and even Ranvir Shorey in only a cameo is delightful.
Starting off on an inspired note, Dasvidaniya loses some of its steam in its second half; but when it`s not trying to beat its own chest about what an honorable film it is, it`s actually quite poignant.
I`ll go with three out of five for director Shashant Shah`s Dasvidaniya. It`s emotional and sure to leave you teary-eyed. Watch it, but take your tissue box with you.
Rating: 3 / 5 (Good)

India last bastion for high jobs growth
NEW DELHI: Bad times in the West may force companies to offshore more jobs to cheaper destinations like India, making it the last bastion for jobs growth, although US President-elect Barack Obama is vocally against outsourcing.
US-based staffing services firm Manpower, whose India business has grown 50% this year, sees some slowing down in ITeS and finance sectors in the short-term but growth would return by mid-summer when effects of stimulus packages announced by multiple countries start showing, its CEO Jeff Joerres said.
"In the global scenario India looks optimistic. Though the employment outlook looks slightly down but optimistic on a relative basis... we have to see how the wave hits the shores," he said.
However, companies that struggled to justify outsourcing in good times would find it easier to move jobs to low-cost destination citing savings, Joerres said.
Obama, in the run up to the presidential election, had spoken of ending tax breaks for companies that shift jobs overseas and give them to those investing at home.
Since the sub-prime credit crisis brewed into a global economic storm, there has been a 15-20% slowdown in jobs growth globally as companies see their bottom lines shrinking.
Besides India, the countries that look promising in terms of hiring are China, Middle East and East Europe. These countries are likely to report promising growth rate as they have a booming domestic market and also because the base is small, he said.
A survey by Manpower in September had ranked India as the most optimistic market for new jobs.

Sambala, In reference to the Citigroup Chairman`s statement, in the Indian context, don`t you think that it would be irresposible on the part of the Central Govt./Fin.Min. incase they agree for salary revision of bank employees leave alone job-cuts (since Prime Minister himself is against job-cuts in any industry in this financial turmoil and he is (indirectly)agreeable for reduced wages) just before Parliamentary elections?
