Dear sd3,

Apart from Stock market (looking for the sharp reversal as part of that IHS), Crude oil has reached an important, critical support level to bounce in UPWARD direction! Over a longer time frame, Crude has the potential to go above 150 USD!

So, I am amazed at the synchronisation of different markets and appreciating the BEATIUFUL CLIMAX points getting developed in different markets for MAKE or BREAK situations!

Only thing is that I am not clear about BS jokers of the GAME that can be PLAYed! :) May be, rise in crude price will be taken as a BS reason for explaining the signs of reversal in economy!

Gud luk & happy investing! :)

High margins pertain to excessive volatiality in select stocks - and a deterrent to FnO traders to tread with caution - and not to overleverage, as they often do.

Margins at or above 100% are a clear signal to FnO traders to go the cash equity way - thus protecting their interests, as well as of the brokerage houses.

These days there are quite a few stocks which are so low that they can rebound almost 70-90% in just a day or two. UNITECH`s aberrant rally from 30 to about +55 is a case in point. Indiscreet FnO traders could well have shorted UNITECH at 30 (thinking it is doomed) and would have simply vanished after two days as it rallied to +55 rather than heeding the margin call from their brokerage house ! Such a possibility does justify 100% margin payment imposition.

Some traders will still short UNITECH`s futures instead of cash shares, as FnO shorts need not be covered the same day !

Aviation turbine fuel (ATF) used by airlines has become much cheaper than the price the world`s top 10 oil producers pay for petrol, reports Economic Times.

While the ATF price has dropped from Rs 73.67 per litre to Rs 40.69 in the past four months, the price of petrol had gone up by Rs 5 and is available at Rs 55.07 in Mumbai.

Interestingly, the ATF price was reduced by the petroleum ministry on five separate occasions between August 1 and November 16.

Former petroleum minister Ram Naik has expressed shock at the ministry`s moves and alleged that the Centre was only `pleasing airline companies.` ``Many have switched over to railways in view of the prohibitive cost of flying,`` Naik said.

``It is a strange economy wherein it costs you more to drive a car than fly a plane.` Naik said. He noted that the government could easily bring down prices of petrol and diesel, but there was no political willpower

dear honestytrack,

Well said. There has been one more excellent scrip like Bharti airtel. It gave returns of almost 28 times (even after the melt down) compared its price in 2003.

Catch them young is the mantra (only after getting satisfied with the management, business model and growth prospects..not the fly by night type)for tasting the real success in stock markets.

Dear BSR,

How can the stock requires 105 % margin as the above article says? are they expecting the stock to go to MINUS?

I just checked ICICI direct for CORE projects they need a initial margin of 107 % wow... People can buy in cash instead of in F & O.

India can benefit hugely from the falling crude prices. Firstly we should create large strategic reserves of crude and petroleum products. These vast reserves will consume huge quantity of steel and cement and help us against any future economic or political black mail, besides ensuring energy stability to certain extent, boost steel and cement industry and provide large scale employment. Secondly Indian E&P cos may go slow in production of crude and gas production- Bombay High Court could help!!! Govt should also extend helping hand by mitigating effects of slow down in production. We can and must drive maximum advantage from falling crude prices....

Another BS note: Add to that, once YEN DOLLAR goes above 99 (98.50), then that ratio will also go into BULLish zone (UPTREND)!

So different markets are getting positioned itself at important, critical support level to take BULLish or BEARish direction (MAKE or BREAK) resulting in BEAUTIFUL CLIMAX situations for different markets in ST/MT... stock markets, oil markets, currency markets! :)

Gud luk & happy investing! :)...

Hello kamleshrut,
Yes I do see you regularly coming to my homepage and thanks for entrusting your trust on my daily levels. As regards, my blue chips for ST,MT, LT, well, I am basically a day cum swing trader and have been investing in a staggered manner in blue chips at levels of my choice. For instance, I am eyeing HDFC bank below 800, SBI below 900, HDFC below 1300, RIL below 900, Punj lyod below 140 etc etc. There are so many which are at your service right now, so go take your pick, but do forget them for over two years if you in it for long term, all the best

dear gandabaccha,

Thats good. What ever you said is right and sensible. It is just not possible for most of the people to trade.Yout LT is nothing but entering in to the markets when markets are oversold and offer some true value. It is a very good strategy and the chances of you making losses are very less with that kind of time tested investment strategy.

As you know ,trading in ST is always fraught with risk and it require full time devotion which most of us cannot give (at least me as i have a job to do) also the biggest concern is trading in ST almost always require analysing too many inputs ,question is differentiating between importance of inputs as slight miscalculation can cost you dearly ,however LT does not meen 5 years to me ,i set a definite profit target and take out my money as soon as as i get my profits..
i invested all of my cash at 8500 and took out 25 % when market was at 10K.
that is LT to me.

Dear coolboy,

It was really sad to know that a small bear market rally
scared you so much. When you sold, I bought Nifty Puts.
Let us keep the target figure always in our mind. NIFTY WILL
TEST 2630-2670 within a day or two. Then a rally taking it
to perhaps 2860 or so.

My views on the Nifty in very short term are:

S-1 = 2730 S-2 = 2670 S-3 = 2630

S-4 = 2550

Hope you understand this terminology

S stands for Support. Once the support is broken, The
same level would serve as Resistance for the upcoming
wave.

Let us persume, Nifty falls to 2660 tomorrow, Soon after
it breaks the support and touches the next support, it will
try to retrace the lost ground to the point just above it,
which in this case would be 2730. If it fails to breach the
resistance at 2730, it will be most likely to fall to the
support level just below it.

dear gandabaccha,

As you rightly said things are going to very tricky in the short and medium term.

But when markets enter in to oversold zone, one can make money by going long, if one wants.Otherwise the option of LT is always there. But the only thing is LT under the present circumstances has to be more than 5 years.
