Corporation Bank has informed the Exchange that: "Corporation Bank has launched a new term deposit under New CorpGain scheme for a fixed period of 330 days with an interest rate of 10.00% per annum (Senior Citizens 10.50% p.a.). This interest rate is applicable for a minimum deposit amount of Rs.25,000 and less than Rs.15 lac only. The offer is for a limited period with effect from 19th August 2008"....

Corporation Bank has informed the Exchange that: "We have been informed by the Indian Banks Association (IBA) that the All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) have served a Notice of Strike on Wednesday the 20th August 2008 throughout the country in support of some of their demands. A section of our employees may take part in the proposed strike on the said day, if the strike materialises. In view of this, it is likely that the normal functioning of our Branches may get affected."...

Corporation Bank has informed BSE that the Bank have been informed by the Indian Banks Association (IBA) that the All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) have served a Notice of Strike on August 20, 2008 throughout the country in support of some of their demands. A section of Banks employees may take part in the proposed strike on the said day, if the strike materialises. In view of this, it is likely that the normal functioning of the Banks Branches may get affected....

Corporation Bank has informed the Exchange that as provided in Section 9(3) (i) of the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1980, Corporation Bank is entitled to have three directors representing the shareholders of the Bank, on the Board of the Bank. Accordingly the Bank invited nominations from the shareholders. On the last date viz July 24, 2008, the Bank received valid nominations from four candidates. After conducting Due Diligence check as per RBI Notification and scrutiny of nominations as per Corporation Bank ( Shares and Meetings) Regulations, 1998, the bank found that the four candidates who had submitted nominations are eligible to become directors and accordingly an election was held at the AGM of the Bank on August 08, 2008. Corporation Bank has informed BSE that in order to cope with the impact of increase in the cost of funds, Corporation Bank Benchmark Advance Rate (COBAR) has been revised upward by 50 basis points from the present level of 13.50% p.a. to 14.00% p.a. with effect from August 11, 2008. However, Housing Loans with sanctioned limits upto Rs 30 lakh, Agriculture Loans and Educational Loans are kept outside the purview of present upward revision in COBAR....

Corporation Bank is to announce its first quarter results. According to CNBC-TV18 estimates, the company’s Q1 net profit seen down 11.02% from Rs 177.11 crore to Rs 157.59 crore
