At the current Speed Of Trend, GRASIM will become OVERSOLD (getting bearish) on 1st October, 2008, at about Rs. 1640.37.

Flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group, Grasim Industries is mulling over its plan to merge with its subsidiary, Vikram Sponge Iron and will hold a meeting with the shareholders of the company.

Pursuant to the order made by the High Court of Madhya Pradesh on Sep 1, 2008, Indore Bench, the company has called for a meeting of the secured creditors (including debenture holders) followed by the meeting of unsecured creditors of the company on Oct. 13, 2008 when the actual decision shall be made.

Grasim`s principal business is manufacturing of viscose staple fibre (VSF), cement, sponge iron, chemicals and textiles. The company has its manufacturing facilities spread across India. Between Grasim and its subsidiaries, the Group has 11 composite plants, 7 split grinding units, 4 bulk terminals, inclusive of 1 in Sri Lanka and 10 ready-mix concrete plants
