As AGM was on 17th Sept. ,dividend can be expected upto 17th October, say within 30 days company should despatch the dividend warrant or send ECS advice to Bank....

Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has informed on July,26 2008 that the Register of Members & Share Transfer Books of the Company will remain closed from September 03, 2008 to September 17, 2008 (both days inclusive) for the purpose of payment of final dividend & 44th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Company to be held on September 17, 2008
But So far I have not received any dividend. May be it is on its way

Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL), a State-run power equipment maker, has received an order worth Rs 9.90 billion to set up a 500 MW (2x250 MW) thermal power plant in Rajasthan.
The order has been placed by Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam (RRVUNL) for setting up two units of 250 MW each as an expansion project of Chhabra Thermal Power Station.
These two units will add 12 million units of electricity every day to the grid on commissioning.
BHEL`s activities in this project includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of generators, turbines and associated auxiliaries.
The equipment for the project would be supplied by company`s Haridwar, Trichy, Ranipet and Bangalore plants.
BHEL is planning to invest Rs 14 billion to build a manufacturing facility for castings and forgings, key components for power equipment.
It has also formed a 50:50 joint venture company with Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC) to cater to the needs of castings and forgings

Thanks ,, i had bought it for 1560 last septmber .. and didn't sell when it reached 2950 .. .. now its going down ..
so do you think it will not reach that 2950 value .. ?
