It is a good stock to hold in one`s portfolio but the major problem is the liquidity as the Govt. holds more than 72% of the portfolio hence punters are vary of entering this script. It has disbursed a dividend of 30% for last financial which given a return of 5% against the stock price of 60!! The coming year one can expect better rate of dividend. The stock should command a value of 75+ when the market recovers. Those who want to play it safe can rely on this script!!

Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd has announced the following Un-Audited results for the quarter ended September 30, 2008:

The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 3087.90 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2008 as compared to Rs 2272.10 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2007. Total Income has increased from Rs 8723.50 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 to Rs 11531.20 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2008.
