Power Finance Corp a goverment of India undertaking, has plans to raise Rs 3 billion to Rs 4 billion rupees through a bond issue in a week`s time, the issue will have a green shoe option.

The company has plans to raise Rs 200 billion in the current financial year, of which they have already raised Rs 120 billion in the first six months of the current fiscal.

PFC provides financial products and services like project term loans, lease financing, direct discounting of bills, short term loans, consultancy services etc for various power projects in the generation, transmission, distribution sectors as well as for renovation and modernization of existing power projects

Power Finance Corporation Limited has informed the Exchange that this has reference to the Unaudited financial results of the Company for the quarter ended September 30, 2008 submitted by the Company on October 21, 2008. Further the Company has informed that Please refer to point no. 9 under the Notes section where inadvertently the date of the meeting of the Audit Committee of Directors was given as 20.11.2008 instead of 20.10.2008. Kindly read point no. 9 as "The above financial results were reviewed and recommended by the Audit Committee of Directors on 20.10.2008 and were approved by the Board of Directors on 21.10.2008 in their respective meetings."...

The Company has posted a net profit of Rs 3293.260 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2008 as compared to Rs 2822.226 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2007.
