When a share has moved up fast there is and has to be profit booking which brings down the share price and we should not loose opportunity to make gains and re-enter at lower level. I was lucky to sell remainig lot at Rs 1720 just before the news of Satyam hit the market.Even other wise NIFTY struggling around 3150 should have convinced you that some sort of profit booking is a must. However I agree that HDFC is a good long term bet and even if you have not sold it at higher price do not worry...

HDFC as per market rumours will touch @ Rs.1200.00 during this week due to off-loading by one of the major Foreign banks due to liquidity problems...

Rs 1200 is a doubtful case. It may come down to Rs 1375 to 1400 at which it is a very good investment proposition
