Great time to accumulate a gem like TCS.
It has got the Citigroup business virtually free.
Short term targets pre results is Rs 650 and post result target is Rs 990....

Economic Times: TCS to bag two new large BPO deals, post Citi arm acquisition.
The two possible BPO contracts are potential multimillion multi-year contracts.
Mr Chandrasekaran said the deals would be “noteworthy” if TCS managed to close them.
Through the acquisition of CGSL (Citigroup Global Services Limited), TCS has obtained end-toend financial processing and capability to run core-banking processes. On the currently challenging business environment, Mr Chandrasekaran said client specific problems continued and certain clients were not growing but that other deals were getting closed and the deal pipeline was good. “In this market you should expect pricing pressure but we are being very disciplined about margins,” he said.

Hold TCS without a worry. Citi deals to come in and add to trunover and profits. Dollar still working for IT. Dollar to reverse only after a long period ..3 months approx after KG gas comes in.
Satyam I beleive is in a storm and till things clear - risky.
WIPRO keep an eye below 200 grab for LT...

It is advisable to stick to select larger players in the IT sector.
The top picks are TCS and Infosys.
Dollar at 48 levels will offset any possible recession fears.
And history shows that recession means more work and more money for Indian IT companies always.

Buying now at current level is a bit risky. However, if it falls below 160/-, u can take a risk. All depends upon short covering in the market.

The undercurrent of tech shares has turned weak.
Satyam because of heavy short positions may move up if market remains steady for a few days more.
