Before the right issue date expires, it could possibly be done if the Board decides. After closure of issue, I do not think it could be done....

Suggest wait till end of this week and then decide. Sell off rights entitlement then and buy equity (old) from the market.

HINDALCO is already OVERSOLD on RSI. Possible BUYING opportunity !

Thanks. The US financial crisis seems very seriously affecting the markets globally. The markets all over are essentially required to stabilize somewhat first, then only cautious recovery would start, the general market condition seems not in favour to buy even from the market.

hindalco is weak stock now days. particularly retail investor dont buy now. this stock good buy 90 to 80 levels for long terms. wait and watch....

Looking at the current market price and the present market scenario would you advise to exercise the rights option ? What if the price goes even below the rights issue price ? The possibility cannot be ruled out.

What you said about deliverable quantity on BSE is correct, I had referred only NSE web site, sorry. If the price falls below 96, probably small retail investors, in case desirable, can buy the stock at a lower price instead of exercising the rights option, as per you what can be advisable ? ...

BSE website shows Friday"s deliverables at 36.91% and not 55 %. So the remaining trades were day trades only. Right.?

I feel it could hardly get down a rupee or two for the time being but chances of a big upmove from here is seen which could take Hindalco to 120 levels in the near term in a week or two.
This is my personnal assumption.
