Looks like the company can be taken over by one of its competitors.......is it true? ABAN or Garware? or are these jsut rumours?

Great Offshore Limited has informed the Exchange with reference to the Buy back of Equity Shares and as required under Regulation 12(2) of the SEBI (Buy Back of Securities) Regulations, 1998, the Company had extinguished 97,946 equity shares on September 17, 2008. Further post extinguishment of the above mentioned numbers of equity shares, the present Paid-up Capital of the Company is Rs.37,13,95,040 (divided into 3,71,39,504 equity shares)....

Further the Company has submitted a copy of the advertisement released in Newspaper on September 17, 2008. All these stocks are very good and fundamentally also strong shares. Their market price may go up and down depending upon market conditions but there is no harm in keeping investments in these shares at present level. In case of Punj Lloyd profit can b booked if it comes to 325/- if interested to re enter at a lower level later on.
Regarding telecom shares, RCOM is ruling possibly at its lowest price of 350/- and it should find great support here. Steel stock should be avoided for the present and this sector looks cloudy for the present. We should wait for some more time for this. I do not track JSW steel. These are my personal views. Kindly take your own decision. Thanks....

The shares that I am interested in are
RIL, Praj Industries, Punj Lloyd, Welspun Gujarat, Great Offshore.
Also, please let me know your views on the telecom stocks and steel stocks, in general, and RCOM and jsw steel in particular.
