well buddy i workin a shippin agency as an asistant manager n ya u cud b correct wat ever u r sain 4 d next 12-18 months coz d US reccession is gonna lastmax 4 dat period only but ya if u were to look at shippin as a biz over a long term , long term here i mean somethin like 10 yrs + den its gonna have a very healthy growth rates simple reason ein dat today 90% of world trade takes place thru ships and d world tarde over d next 10-15 yrs in expected to have an exponential growth rtaes smple reason bein d world has realsied dis fact over d past 1-20 yrs its not d time 4 protectionism but to have a cost efective way of producin thin n procurin things which wud only grow d export import biz also many countries r busy drawin FTAs n all also if u look wat world tarde was 10 yrs n 20 yrs down d line u wud start belivein in my words .4 bharati shipyard u need not worry abt d next 2 ysr coz its order book is full 4 d next 2 yrs so jus go n madlyinvest in dis script ...

long term prospects would be governed by the demand in the shipping sector which depends on global trade .. going forward global trade is expected to decline because of the meltdown in the US economy and destruction of demand from the largest economy (US) ... so as of now things look good because the slowdown hasn't really hit world trade yet but if the US economy continues to deteriorate .. the shipping sector will be directly affected and that would have an extremely negative impact on the shipbuilding industry and especially bharti shipyard since it has huge capex plans ... but if things go the other way then bharti shipyard could be a huge beneficiary ... so take your decision based on where you think the world economy is headed
