AB Mazumdarof the Indian Met Dept believes the rainfall has picked up and is likely to increase in deficient areas. He said the rainfall is deficient in southern India and parts of Maharashtra. He is not unduly worried about subdued rainfall and expects it to recover, Mazumdar said.
