I`m not discouraging u guys, I work as Business Analyst in Risk Management domain. Also if u see from minority shareholders point of view, incase of buyback offer price won`t be beyond 1200 anyways. I had entered the script at 460 levels & did exit at 950 levels. Sensible investors should stay cautious & not be carried away. I would have appreciated people placing a buy call at 450 levels.. Anyways all t best. People can also look at buying Tata Elxsi,Tata Invest Corp,Micro Tech & Glodyne Technoserve at current levels. ...

RVBH, what do you care, as a small shareholder you benifit much more from a good stockprice than dividend. Furthermore, the day a stock goes ex-dividend, the hsareprice is corrected for the same, so it`s all in the same game....let`s wait for the final Tender Offer for delisting, that`s much more interesting. It must come soon, OFSS has just bought the last 10% of OFSS S.A., their Greek operation, so possibly the rest will follow soom....

I believe the reserves and surplus for the company now stands at roughly Rs.3500 crores and that is really unfair iflex has not giving dividends lately. But, the reason is the Oracle has to pay almost double tax on receiving that dividend. Thats why they are not doing so YET. Here is the good news. President Obama has made strong push to make tax law changes for US companies PARKING profits in foreign lands. From this coming year on, they will have to pay the tax on their PROFITs regardless unless it is reinvested in business. So, dividend tax being lower than profit distribution, Oracle would most likely be forced to give hefty dividends next year on. On 800 crore net profit with 8 crore shares that`s potentially Rs.100 per share. They won`t give 2000% dividend but I think even Rs.20 per share dividend equates to 400% dividend for a share par value rs.5. Keep your optimism high....

MUMBAI (Reuters) - Jaiprakash Associates said on Monday its board has approved the acquisition of units Jaypee Hotels, Jaypee Cement and Gujarat Anjan Cement.
It will also acquire group firm Jaiprakash Enterprises, issuing three shares for every share held.
In a statement to the stock exchange, Jaiprakash said shareholders of Jaypee Hotels, the listed entity, will get one share in Jaiprakash Associates for every share held.
The mergers will be effective retrospectively from April 1, 2008.
Shareholders of Jaypee Cement will get one share in Jaiprakash, for every 10 shares held. Gujarat Anjan Cement shareholders will get one share for every 11 shares held.
The group operates a 9-million-tonne cement capacity in central India, it said on its website.
Jaiprakash Associates held 72.18 percent in the Jaypee Hotels unit as on Sept. 30. Details of shareholdings in the other firms were not immediately available.
Ahead of the announcement, Jaypee Hotels shares ended 4.56 percent up at 84.85 rupees in a weak Mumbai market. Shares in Jaiprakash Associates, which has a market cap of $2.3 billion, closed down 2 percent at 87.40 rupees.

Good observations.A point that comes to mind is whether SEBI has a restriction
on the timing for a second delisting attempt.I do recall having heard/read about it.Anyway to check that.
Company was very frustrated I know when they fell short of the magic mark
With regards to bleeding profits,am curious on how that can be done. All I can tell is that the company is hugely cash rich and has zero debt on their books. So cash is still around....

Good analysis of facts. We must remember though that Oracle is an American company. That says a great deal. Not sure how much Hukku has a say in it.Is he still Chairman.
Whatever happened to Ghaisas. Is he around.
Agree that Oracle is unlikely to wait that long. How much of the holdings do you think the employees hold including Hukku. All of this can give something to think about....
