I take this report with a pinch of salt-In 1st qr rupee was strong so there was more forex loss in dollar terms while paying interest on unhedged forex loans;but the position is reverse in 2nd qr as the rupee is weakening to record lows against dollar-So should it not translate into more savings on interest outgo in dollars instead?Moreover the broad band business is still in good health-I think we should not be overly worried about 2nd qr results!...

NSG waiver is the greatest thing to have happened to India in recent times.The greatest thing is not to have signed NPT and enjoying all the benefits of nuclear power and trade for that matter.I should tell for critics\\\\` benefit that thorium based technology is always open for future nuclear reactors,for which ample research work has already been done by indian scientists who worked silently in isolation period.Mind you we have plenty of thorium deposits in India itself.In this light, is there any undue worry about not being able to get our nuclear(read uranium)supplies in future,if we undertake nuclear test-which is unlikely and not required anyway? Certainly not.Welcome is the right word....
