Why look for 6 months, the results could be obtained much early!! Anyway the 6 (six) months target could be Rs.72--Rs.75. The company is having an AGM on 15th September, 2008 and hence by hook or crook, they have to start production by that time.
It is important to note that the heating of the plant normally takes 20--30 days after which the production can begin. Hence there is very little time left, before the heating of the plant takes place. It is to be noted that the heating of the furnace starts from ambient temperature and gradually rises in 20 days to 30 days to the desired temperature, after which coke can be manufactured from coal. The way the coke prices are rising in the international markets, makes the stock lucrative to buy at the present levels and on dips. There is also a mining angle to the story and as usual the carbon credit story due to power from the waste heat. The power plant is almost complete only that some parts have to be tuned with the specifications of the turbine requirements. This can only be done after the production starts and the exact quantum of steam generated for running of the turbines is known. The turbine will be tuned to that generated steam to produce power with miniumum cost. The company earlier got the environmental clearance from the Government. The promoters have also used their own fund for making the Met-coke plant and Rs.50 Cr SBI loan has gone begging. This proves the commitment of the high pedgree promoters and also, at the same time this move will reduce the interest cost going forward.
Hence we have broadly 4 (four) stroies in the company:
1. Coke production.
2. Power Production from waste heat
3. Carbon Credit story
4. Mining (Coal) story.

The company has in last month signed a contract with a British Firm for supplying Metallurgical Coke to them. A number of contracts with domestic companies has also been signed in advanced for selling the met coke to them.
Thus, investing in the shares of this company at this price (or in dips) and before the start of commercial production is like buying a high interest Fixed Deposit (FD) from a bank.
According to me the scrip is better than Gujarat NRE Coke, which rose from Rs.20 something to dizzy heights even after coming up with bonus issues a number of times. One should look at the quality of promoters.
I am also told that the company came out with results for the June, 2008 quarter, which is more or less good-- but please check with your sources on the result front.
