As per a market rumour, Goldman Sachs had taken SHORT positions on IFCI ever since GS sold IFCI around 48...

That could be just a BS rumour!

Gud luk & happy investing! :)...

My advice to investors would be that this is a very good time to get into the market and start investing in the market

and if people do not invest in the market at the current level, I feel they would be committing the same mistake, which they have done by not selling the stocks at 21,000 levels.”...

Indian stocks dancing to global cues

Portfolio Manager PN Vijay feels it’s difficult to say if there is more bad news today. “We have been dancing to global cues for the previous one month. Hopefully, these cues will play themselves out soon,” he says.

“Domestically, things look much better now with inflation lower than previous levels and interest rates likely to come down in about two months,” Vijay said.

“The package got passed on Friday and that is also good news. Economically, India is the least affected by the developments in the US".

What special thing they can do in a Board Meeting???Volumes are low and stock seems ill-liquid!!Is,nt there some thing fishy??No boarder coming to the rescue of beleagured LKP as yet!!They have sold their profitable Forex operation long back!!Dont get trapped in dividend yield theory as far as this stock is concerned!!Its just a broking company!!The results for last year would be good as all Brokers, had done exceptionally well!!But what about this year(hardly any FII's are active)!!Would the performance be sustainable in light of the all round'Misery'faced by the market??Please think twice and tread carefully!!What would happen once Board Meeting is over, dividend is announced and done with???After that what???Even right now volumes are not there and the price is dropping!!Please look at prices of eminent brokers such as Edelwiess,Motilala Oswal,Religare etc and then decide!! ......

My technical knowledge does not say so as the IFCI has still not breached the earlier low of 29 and is quite resilient AND if tomorrow the market and the financial holds or improve the situation may be different for IFCI.

Moreover if IFCI post strong results then the stock would get strength too in this critical scenario. IFCI has good support at 24-25 that is difficult to break.

Now, market has no fortune. See the US indices. US indices are in free fall mode and there seems no signs of recovery in near future. If market bounces back, then it would be for short term due to short coverings only. At present, it seems that there is no end to the down trend not only in this stock but also in all stocks. Even fundamentally strong stocks are also going down like a free fall, then what could be said about stocks like NFCL. Because, the share price of NFCL was not appreciated due to its fundamental, but it was appreciated due to restructuring of this company. Company is investing in Refinery, Steel and power sector. The progress on these projects will not give immediate return. The gestation period for these projects are long. Present fundamentals are poor and if global markets remains melting down like this, then the next down ward target for this stock can be Rs 11 or Rs 12 in near future. So, it will be prudent to watch the price going down and see its bottom for re-entry and for averaging. Good luck !!...

+ve effects if it has to come may come by tomorrow too as DII and mutual funds & institutional investors may come earlier to ride the wave. But yes if the impact of crash down is so severe then the market may not hold. I do not believe that market may go below 11200-300 levels....
