Auditors are required to verify and check the bank and cash balance as on 31st March....

Raju should be given Padmashree for his honest admission of the fraud, had he not admited it today, this whould have continued for many more years, given the present type of rules and audit systems and stupid controllership corp covernance, it\

I Think this is conspiracy is done after joining the hands with the Company Auditor. Without his knowledge this cannot happen,

Fortunately I am also a Chartered Accountant.

The auditors of the All the Listed company should be appointed by the SEBI & there should be joint Auditors. Who shall be small or Proprietorship concern auditors who are directly involved in the audit.

In BIG four audit firm the Partners are virtually a servant only, for name sake they are partner

We should look at the auditing system in India

The CA Institute should come forward and take some Initiative

They should not be spectator

This was a fear which markets had that Ramalinga Raju is trying to bailout some of the companies and he is in a difficult financial mess. But it went beyond that today when he himself confessed in a letter saying that the cash and cash balances are inflated by over Rs 5,000 crore....
