Yes, its good to invest in this. Price is attractive at 18 levels. Keep buying in small packages like 18, 17, 16.. and keep it for long term.....

Chennai, Oct. 29 Ashok Leyland is contemplating reducing the number of working days “by one or two days a week” so as to match its inventory to the current demand of commercial vehicle industry.

“We are not planning for lay-offs. However, we are working on a plan to reduce one or two working days in a week.

“There could be some cut in wages for these days and it will be worked out in consultation with the union officials,” highly placed sources in the company have told- Business Line.

If not they will be piling up a huge inventory. Already sales is down and money is tight. Its better to slow down now....

He added that the availability of finance and diesel has hit the volumes. The company will improve its performance in H2FY09, he said.

The Result are very poor PAT down by 17 % will touch low of Rs.15 shortly
