dear Earnest the chances of this stock losing ground before annoncement of bonus ex date are NIL History is against that.It will only appreciate....

Stock prices usually surge upwards on rumours of bonus, & then settle proportionally to the bonnus ratioo declared ...usuallly . Al though the market capitilization remains same after bonus.. but that becomes the bench mark. & also slowly the market price creeps to the same value as on time when bonus was declared. future beifits like dividend yield ..rights are added advantage in long term investment. I feel it is a gr8 benifit for real investors any day....

EARNEST, ofcourse there are people buying how else can a sale transaction complete. For every sale there is buy...who is doing and for what is speculative. I have this stock at 325 since it near peak in Mid 2007. Today I bot more to avg my holding. But you are right in saying there are big time operators in market who manupalte and try to push the price down so they get it at comfortable price....

every analyst seems to be of the view that that the markets would be up 5000-6000 point from current levers by the end of 2010... now sure how true that would be, but even if there`s a remote chance, i wonder where this share would be....for once i hope these dumb analysts are right!!!...

if the bonus shares are declared or scrapped, in either of the cases the stock price will correct.... i would suggest to buy a Rs.200 level Put Option to safe guard your investment against any downside... just a suggestion......

expect the markets to be extremely volatile going forward... don`t be surprised to see huge swings either ways......

i`m once again back with a rumor floating around.... it seems that JP has bagged 2 contracts worth more than a few thousand crores... see this share spike up if once again the rumor ends up being true... the markets are over sold and this share got beaten up for no reason... get in now is what i can think of at the moment......

dont sell JP... i know what`s happening... the record date for the bonus is yet not announced... the sell off we`ve been witnessing on this share since the past 2 days is because there could be some people who want to bring the prices down and you would not know that they would actually be accumulating it in small lots to take advantage of the bonus... don`t sell... accumulate and reap rewards.... i`m not selling... in fact i bought more at 236 levels...just a friendly opinion......

in all these years of trading, i`ve learnt one thing for sure, never take anyone`s advise...especially those who claim to be experts and comment about stocks on their websites and tv channels....trust me, they are as clueless as we are...

many who post their comments on this website are again as clueless as we are...but remember, if their comments sound positive, it means they own the stocks or options and if negative, they are trying to short or again playing with options...
