Oil & Natural Gas Corpn Ltd has informed the Exchange that: "Oil Sector Officers Association, including Officers of Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Limited under the aegis of Association at Scientific & Technical Officers (ASTO) have given a call to proceed on strike effective 0600 hours on 7th January, 2009. The management has however made contingency plans to the effect that the operations including production of crude oil and gas are not adversely affected. Simultaneously efforts are continuing for resolution of the issues for averting the strike"....

Dear novice,atleast you do not have diffeent opinion on the target mentioned.... when people give upward targets,they give extra bullish views.... similarly in the projected down targets,they reason all the posible difficulties with some extra paint....
Regarding ongc stock,it is purely a crude price follower.... now crude has been falling to lower levels.... naturally profits get disturbed and there is a chance of making losses if crude falls further.... ongc should announce the extracting charges of crude per barrel with the present overheads.... pl note that existing cash reserves are being utilised for getting oilreserves/acquiring overseas firms....
As few other boarders feel it is better to preserve country`s crude reserves for future oil economics.... i i were the policy maker,i would start accumulating the oil stock for next five years at lower prices.... if there is no provision for keeping that much stock in safe,it is better for govt to buy crude futures through state run companies/banks on further declines....
Many boarders may not like me here,but i do not hate anybody here,in the same time i like many boarders here,you are just one of them.... wish you good luck....
