Keep a close watch on Sesa Goa. If the price reaches close to Rs. 150, it is a blind buy. Even now it is good to lake long positions....

MRPL is down today and try to pick it at around 65. As per me it is going to cross Rs. 80 within a few days. Disclosure - I am holding this stock....

- I am not going to take position in OISL at the moment. It was on the first day when I put it on my watch, the stock went up from Rs. 11 to 16. As far as I am concerened, there is no question of buying it now.
- Rathi Steel and power looks very interesting and pls advice you forsee any chance to get it in the range of 17-18 in the near future? Anyhow it is in my watch list from today onwards.

- You ca have a look at Sunflag Iron. Below Rs. 17 it is a good pick. Can go for short term. Recently I bought it at 14.50 and 16.50 and later sold it above 21. I may re-enter if if falls below 17.

- MRPL looks like the best pick at the moment. I bought it y/day.

- Sesa Goa really looks good. I am waiting to buy it at Rs. 150 if it falls to that level. Not sure.

Who is the expert? God alone knows. Cannot trust any one here. Some work for MFs, some for FIIs and some others for operators and brokers. So only follow the advices of people whom you know very well. If it is investor, broker or analyst no problem, but you should know them personally. Self assessment is not a mistake, but it may take some time to develop skills in analysing. I have seen many stocks being recommneded by the so called experts only after giving the first oppotunity to their interested parties. After a week or two you may see some recos on Petronet LNG and MRPL. As per me this is the right time to buy these stocks. Petronet LNG was avaliable below 60 which was the best time to enter. Still it is not too late. Apollo tyres was below 30 for a two three weeks and no one recommended at that time. Now its above 35 and recos started coming now after smart people accumulated below 30 levels. Genesys was availbe at 90 levels for more than one month. Now after it crossed Rs. 130, I have seen a reco from an expert saying that it will touch 200. Now you decide what to do and what not to do. It is best to go based on you own judgements and work hard for one or two years and learn as much as possible about the trend of the market and various stocks. You can do it yourselves, I am sure....

Dear teamsr, Thanks for your views. I have not yet taken position in Landmark. Hope you have noticed the upsurge in OCL Iron & Steel on 18/08/08 which is also their Group Company. It performed much better than Land mark. I was watching it going down to Rs. 11 (by 7%)or so and then moved up steadily to cross Rs. 16. I was expecting a big fall next day, but it did not happen. Stock is today trading at Rs. 16. OCL India at current levels looks like a good buy. I am watching all three. Regds........KJP...

Probably they may be waiting for final confirmation of the news. Not sure. Even otherwise MRPL is a good buy at current levels in view of their outstanding performance during last year and Q1 as well. I feel it is high time this stock should be traded above Rs. 100. ...

Dear Kjp, I was alloted oisl shares and i disposed off the full qty at the opening day.as of now there are better peers for oisl current valuation put the value for a 125000 tpa plant at more then 200 crs. Rathi udyog has plant of a greater capacity.Both manufacture sponge iron.Rathi capacity is 2.75 lakh ton per annum moreover it has 30 mw captive power plant also.current valuations for rathi udyog is 53 crores and company is a divd paying one too.Either invest in landmark at lower levels for 2-3 years perspective or dont invest in any of them ignore Oisl at all costs.The moves will come but it will be for operators to exit in OISL If you do a peer valuation with rathi udyog you will know what i am talking about.rathi is available at below 1x its EBITDA earnings so its your choice.last qtr results were also good .watch out Niftyviews blogspot...

Well said KJP. Many stocks were being accumulated even while bearish messages were being circulated. It is a sad fact that the retailers buy only after the biggies did all their buying. I have a stock which is almost at the same level for 2 months but the MF and DII were buying it all along. Unless one knows the real value of a stock they hold, these things will continue to happen. One more stock had come down by 5% even while the corporates bought 2% stake in the past 3 months from retailers. That is why I used to say that unless one knows why they bought a stock they wont know when to sell. regards nadhi ...

Landmark property is a typical stock we shldnt expect much from it from results point of view. At the same time i am holding this stock with Long term view.Prima facie reason being that promoters hold a number of real estate companies and any merger among the same can lead to huge value unlocking in the same do remember dalmias had given sleepless nights to mahindra gesco erstwhile owners sheths so one can expect good returns in Long term from the stock niftyviews blogspot...

I had read the article,but both NDTV or the CNBC had not taken this up for their review in their visual media for some reason not known, they could have lined up MRPL officials to comment on this for the benifit of the investors and the Govt of india which is major stake holder through ONGC. Media is always interested in Pvt playes like Reliance etc with their stories ,rather than supporting events and business of public sector companies like MRPL,NEYVELI etc...

I think the bulls made a strong comeback for this stock today. This may be temporary. But the volumes are huge the highest ever, more than 5m. It behaved exactly the opposite way after touching the day's low that it behaved on other days. I had saved the intraday chart for future research purposes. Intraday chart looks promising. Bulls made a strong dominance over bears. It could be mainly because of the cheaper price. That is the only concern for me now. I do not worry not having bought because the stock made a low of 265 whereas my intended buy order was to put at 260. I would have felt worse if I had put orders. Now we need to see how it behaves and act quickly upon right signal. ...
