Infosys Technologies Ltd has announced the following Audited Consolidated results for the quarter ended September 30, 2008.

The Group has posted a net profit after tax and minority interest of Rs 14320 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2008 as compared to Rs 11000 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2007. Total Income has increased from Rs 42600 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 to Rs 54840 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2008....

Infosys Technologies has announced its second quarter numbers. It has posted 10% jump in net profit of Rs 1,432 crore for the second quarter of FY09 as against Rs 1,302 crore in previous quarter. Numbers are above estimation, as CNBC-TV18 was expecting net profit at Rs 1427.5 crore.

Its revenues went up by 11.6% to Rs 5,418 crore from Rs 4,854 crore, (QoQ). CNBC-TV18 expected revenues at around Rs 5,327.3 crore.

Guidance

Q3 revenues seen at around USD 1.175-1.22 billion

Q3 EPS seen at Rs 26.63 per share

The role the Company has played whether in business, in CSR, in transparency, in ethics, in conduct is commendable and we don\\\\`t have any parellel example of it but to create benchmarking performance in a downward cycle is going to be a duanting task which everyone will be watching eagerly. To me it looks that projected EPS will has to be further lower after Q3 results.
