Your gesture was very correct. Today also even with some positive indications the markets all over globally fell badly. Generally small investors do not have the courage, ability and capacity to tackle such continually falling market situations. What do the knowledgeable persons follow at such times ? ...

After the bill is passed, the DOW industrials fell by another 157.47 points. That is the way market is played and money is made by knowledgeable(!) persons.
Do not expect spectacular shows on Monday! Be cautious. Save your capital, if you can. 
Infy may fall to1300 in the near term...

Marketman,
Here are a few things that may work in Infy\\`s favor.
1. BoA and Goldman may need additional functionality / software for there new businesses (The acquisitions they have done and are going to do). Infy may get a major chunk of it.
2. Rupee will depreciate in the near to medium term. Expect dollar to appreciate once the bad blood from credit crisis is removed.
3. Infy can manage margins better than any other s/w company in India.
4.Axon buy may help improve margin in the longer term by more offshoring.
Also one thing is for sure is that if the software sector goes in bear phase for long, rupee may not appreciate significantly.
More clarity should emergr when Infy declares 2nd quarter results and gives annual guidance.

Ironically, the p-NOTE fiasco was introduced in October itself, last year !

At this point it`s pretty foolish to rule anything out, including the possibility of a crash - if there is anything more left to it yet !
Possibly the only thing to be optimistic about is that it`s always darkest before the dawn and it`s ALREADY very dark right now. I can hardly see anything beyond !

Attn ALL:
Sebi has removed the P-Notes restrictions in all respect and this is the 1st step to change the sentiments.
If you remember this was the first reason was for the market to fall and now could be the first reason for the change of sentiments from -ve to +ve in the near term.
Hope now RBI will start looking to ease the liquidity thru CRR and repo rates cuts in the near futures.

Good posting. The moment DOW fell after the bill was passed, it showed that some drastic fall in our markets will also happen. Its like someone telling - go sell and bring home some money, no matter what the loss is....
