Eleventh Five Year Plan (2007-2012) has enormous allocation for the development of infrastructure and road construction will be having lion's share because road transport is vital to the economic development and social integration of the country.
The growth of vehicular traffic on roads has been far greater than the growth of the highways; as a result the main arteries face capacity saturation. Both freight and passenger movement by road is expected to rapidly expand in the coming years. In particular, freight movement by road transport is expected to show robust growth over the medium term due to a number of factors, viz, substantial investment in improvement in national highway network which will facilitate speedy, reliable, door to door services, rising volumes of exports and imports.
It has been assessed that Rs. 1,21,758 crore would be spent on the development of road infrastructure during the 11th Five Year Plan (2007-2012).
Gayatri Projects is one of the player in the development of road infrastructure and going to benefit in the long run. Please buy this goldmine at through away price.

AMP Capital Investors (Australian Co) will be investing Rs 200 crore in Gayatri Infra Ventures Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of Gayatri Projects Limited (GPL).
The first installment of Rs 100 crore will give AMP a 29 per cent stake in GIVL. The funds will be used to fund existing projects as well as future bids and concessions undertaken by GIVL.
GIVL is a player in the transportation infrastructure sector and is into construction, operation and maintenance of roads, highways, bridges and tunnels. Apart from this, GIVL also wants to make downstream investments in other companies working on similar projects.
Gayatri Projects has already invested Rs 125 crore in GIVL & AMP would bring in an additional Rs 100 crore. Apart from this Gayatri Projects is planning to invest Rs 400 crore as equity and AMP would be putting in another Rs100 crore if and when the need arise. Trust that this answers your concerns.
