About me: Who is John Galt?...Hero of Ayn Rand’s novel Atlas Shrugged, who stopped the motor of the world by making all the ‘Men of Mind, especially Industrial Giants’ to go on strike against Govt. controls (statist laws) violating Man’s Rights…He is an embodiment of the virtues required to live like a Man, the Rational Being - Rationality, Independence, Integrity, Honesty, Justice, Productiveness and Pride … Give me liberty or give me death... Laissez-Faire Capitalism: A system where there is complete separation of Govt. from economics; no Govt. controls and interference in free trade; no laws abridging the freedom of production and trade. Money is the symbol of free trade/free economy and, therefore, of a free mind…In principle, taxation should be voluntary. (All this requires the constitution to be re-written, and thereby putting an end to bureaucratic hurdles and root of corruption) Individual rights (right to life, property, freedom etc) can be violated only by the use of force. In this system, no man may initiate the use of physical force against others. The Govt. acts only as a policeman that protects man’s rights; it uses physical force only in retaliation and only against those who initiate its use, such as criminals or foreign invaders. (The Govt. is concerned only with issues which involve the use of force - the police, the armed services, and the law courts to settle disputes among men) What we have today (including USA) is not a capitalist society, but a mixed economy (a mixture of freedom and controls). In any compromise between food and poison it is only death that can win. Do you see the connection between death and taxes? Today the difference in all our political parties is only one of degree, not of principle. (Taxes, Subsidies, Controls are a mere sacrifice of virtue to vice, of the productive to the non-productive, of the able to the incompetent, of some men to others, of the actors to the non-actors, of the moral to the immoral. Do not expect men to produce, when production is punished and looting rewarded. Our Govts. expect praise and admiration for distributing gifts they have not produced.) The great battle in the world today is a philosophical, ideological conflict. It is ideas that determine social trends, that create or destroy social systems. Therefore, the right ideas, the right philosophy, should be advocated and spread. (The disasters of the modern world, including the destruction of capitalism, were caused by altruist-collectivist philosophy. It is altruism that men should reject.) “My philosophy, in essence, is the concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute.”…Ayn Rand udayraj@boldotnetdotin
