Tata Power plans to set up a unit for generating 1,000 MW of renewable energy from both solar and wind, in Gujarat, reports Business Standard.

It is learnt that the cost of project would be from Rs 70 - Rs 100 billion.

From the total target, at least 200 MW will be generated from using solar power and for which the company plans to set up a unit for producing photovoltaic cells.

Meanwhile, Asian Development Bank (ADB) has extended financial support for the construction and operation of wind energy facilities of Tata Power
