Tata Investment Corporation Ltd has informed BSE that September 17, 2008 has been fixed as the Record date for the purpose of Right Issue.

- Instrument - Zero Coupon Convertible Bond (ZCCB) with detachable warrant.

- Right Ratio - 1 ZCCB with detachable warrant for 5 Equity Shares held on the Record Date.

- Conversion - Each ZCCB will have three parts -

Part A of Rs 300 would be compulsorily converted into 1 equity share of Rs 10 at a price of Rs 300 per share on August 01, 2009.

Part B of Rs 350 would be compulsorily converted into 1 equity share of Rs 10 at a price of Rs 350 per share within 18 months from the date of allotment.

Part C will be a detachable warrant which will entitle the holder to purchase one equity share at a price of Rs 400 per share during the month of April, 2011.

Golden scrip will go to Rs.1500/-

hallo dear you forget that you received bonus issue in last before year. If you include that it is now Rs.900.

It should reach Rs.1500/- ....

TATA INVST CORP, I have been holding for more than 3 yrs;though it holds huge portpolios of its sister concerns, it can never go beyond Rs600-700 in 1.5 yrs!!

TATA INVST CORP, I have been holding for more than 3 yrs;though it holds huge portpolios of its sister concerns, it can never go beyond Rs600-700 in 1.5 yrs!!...

yes you are correct I think it may reach Rs.1500/- in atleast one half year. it should reach rs.1000/- in one year

hats off to your message. its nice to see a boarder finally who has some respect for the term logic. nice to see your logical message :)
even i believe in logic. stock market is nothing without this logic.
see how people were betting on stocks without logic 6 months back and what happened then. the markets have crashed. some stocks have crashed by 50%. why? because there was no logic in those prices.

even 1500 same way for Tata investment corp. is not logical at all.
the company was planning to buy back at 600 but the operators took the price of the stock upwards to 700 levels and the buy back was cancelled.

now, the co. is planning for rights issue as per today's article in newspaper. that shows there will be increased capital base and reduced EPS for 1 or 2 years to come. i know the capital will yield more returns but that will take some time to streamline.

so, the stock price will be under pressure. the exact fall would depend on by howmuch the promoters plan to dilute the earnings this time. its a bad news according to me. oneway good for the company as it can grow. but otherwise, when the stock market is crashing like this, the portfolio of the company will definitely take a hit and its not far and will not be surprising even if they end up posting losses in the next couple of quarters IF the markets do not stabilise. we do not know by when exactly the markets could recover. we are as of now in a range of 13k to 15.5k which is proved from the way the markets reacted after it touched 15.5k. so it will be tough for this company to get a price tag of 1500/share.

i am tracking this stock for ages now. i feel 180 was the right price to accumulate the stock 1 year ago and book profits at 700 levels. but the stock at 1500 is far from even imagination.

it is good for re-entry may be at 400 levels or so. please let me know your comments. i would be glad to read your reactions for my message.

Yes you can buy and don\\`t expect return immediately it should reach 1500 atleast in one and half year. you can also expect bonus in the 75th year celebration. now you can get rights issue. it is holding good companies at very low prices. it\\`s book value as per annual report is Rs.850/-. buy and hold.
