Selan Exploration Technology, a private sector company engaged in oil exploration and production, on August 5, has been granted the mining lease by Energy and Petrochemicals Department (EPD), Gujarat. for development of OGNAJ oilfield.

Selan Exploration registered a 5.8 times growth in net profit of Rs 178.20 million for the quarter ended June 2008 from a profit of Rs 30.80 million for the quarter ended June 2007.

Q-1 Sales & NP (Rs. 17.82 Cr) are more than last full year's sales & NP. EPS for Q-1 is Rs. 13. Full year expected more than 60. Selan will touch Rs. 600 in 9 months for sure. Selan is investing Rs. 150 crore in expansion. One can only imagine its price in next 2 years....

Full year EPS would be Rs 52 minimum, so it should see a price of Rs. 600 to Rs. 900 by April 09. Oil exploration is a hot business....

Selan Exploration has come out with outstanding Q-1 results with quarterly EPS of 13. This stock will surely touch Rs. 600 in one year from present price of rs. 300. Happy Investing!
