I live in US. My brother stays in India and he has got in to job/money problems. He does not have a job and these reputed banks like Citi and ICICI has given him credit cards/ loans. I did not know about this until my trip to India on vacation. He does not have a way to pay the money to these banks as he does not have a job. I would like to pay of his loans but I can not afford to pay the kind of interest these banks have piled over a period of year or two. What should I do? Can I just ignore this and hope that banks will write it off after 4-5 years. If I want to pay, is there a way to just pay for the actual debt and not the huge interest. Your advise/suggestion is highly appreciated. Thank you Sathish... |
