It is not just Nano. Their other products namely CRDi and security systems have been doing well in the market. Their capex is well planned and hence when the sales of automobiles in the indian and international market goes up, Bosch will be an outstanding performer.
Cheers...

Buyback over

Buyback offer closed on October 24, 2009.
No shares proposed for buyback - 15,00,000(approx)
No shares bought & extinguished - 6,52,560
Min buyback price - Rs. 2,949.99
Max buyback price - Rs. 3,240.00
Amount invested in buyback - Rs.2,002.93 Million
Percentage Shareholding pre / post buyback (Approx)
Shareholding of Promoter and Promoter Group 69.79 / 71,18
Public Shareholding
Institutions 13.35 / 12.92
Foreign Institutional Investors 5.24 / 4.98
Other Shareholders 9.28 / 10.92
It may be observed that both promoter and other(individual) shareholding has gone up. The previous quarter results are good. With the success of NANO volumes will go up and so are the orders for Engine Management System from Bosch.
I would think all these things are big positives for the company and hence the share price is on the upward trajectory.
Cheers

I don`t trach these two but tried them. Both don`t yet fit into the strict guidelines of Graham. Page has P/E of over 22 which is too high and Venkys has a high Current Ratio.
Some of the factors which Graham has listed to identify value buys are
1. Size. I take it as MCap more than 1000 cr.
2. Current Ratio more than 2.
3. Long term debt less than current assets.
4. Dividend record over past 10 years. I take it for 5 years since Indian markets do not have as long a history as US markets.
5. Present EPS more than 1.5 times EPS 10 years ago (taking trailing 3 years avg in both cases).
6. P/E less than 15
There are some more too but these are the more important ones. The stocks that made the cut in end Sep were Anant Raj Industries, Gammon India, Gateway Distriparks, Gitanjali Gems, Nava Bharat Ventures, Hindustan National Glass& Industries. I have some of them though not all.

Hi Jaggihs:
Appreciate your thought. I too like Micro Inks. I would like to accumulate it at lower levels - it has a decent run in recent times.
I am also looking at Page Industries and Venky`s. Any thoughts based on Graham / Buffet principles?

TCI Finance actually has major stake in gati, of 15.7%.
TCI Finance Ltd 13,324,350 15.70

Public free floating shares ( less than 1 lakh rs) is very low in tci finance actually , so being a hugely undervalued stock, once it gets going, targets can be very high.

A company in the expansion mode needs more time as compared to Gujarat State Petronet. The expenses incurred on phenomenal expansion at Dahej and current process of installation of its facilities at Kochi would produce additional revenues over a couple of years.
Investors with 3 years view may BUY this scrip on declines....

Dear Poorfellow,
Have you been holding Geodesic for long? I ask because I have not seen your comments here earlier.
Geodesic has already launched their VOIP product Spokn earlier this month. Are you reffering to something additional to Spokn?

Yes, the intrinsic value of Geodesic, an old good stock, cannot be compared with new companies (un-tested strength and intrinsic value like RCom, Bharti Airtel etc.). It is certain that Geodesic will bounce back anytime.
I know particulary the stock Geodesic that it is developing a product which will sensationally thrill the VOIP (Internet voice telephony with genuine giant customers like Google) very shortly. BUY and Hold (Wait) for this stock to jump anytime to 20% UC consecutively for some days within nwxt 20 sessions. Technically, it is now at the major support level of Rs.89/-.

Please note that dividend has not been paid even after 60 days from record date. SEBI regulations states that dividend has to be paid within 30 days. We can judge from this what could be the financial situation of this company based on the dividend issue since the total outgo for the dividend payment is very small compared to the declared profits by the company. Therefore each investor should make his own conclusion. One guy on this forum claimed that he received the dividend. Whoever claims he has received the dividend is a liar. So far the company has not paid the dividend. I have checked with atleast 7 friends who have invested in this company and none has received the dividend. Please play safe in this stock

okk then what you think what our strategy should be for this script.you know why retail investors is most trappable in share market bcz of they do start buying when prices of stock starts move like rocket and not buy in dips when there is extra ordinary fall bcz they have fear that their important saving will go vanish if they buy at this time but actually they started already vanish their investment when they start buying overpriced scripts. So i think when the stocks starts taking heavy dip then buy good script which is not overpriced in hope and i think it is right time to buy bharti in small lots.

As per technical charts, worst is over for the stock .has given strong breakout from rounded bottom and turned bullish long term as per charts, heading for target of 22 possible in around 6-8 months, where partial profits can be booked and held for long term target of 45, for 15-18 months, provided toplines and bottom lines keep improving. The acquisition of AEI cables, a 180 year old reputed uk manufacturer should help gather overseas orders in coming future. Its a major supplier to railways. Topline Sales are a concern though, need to keep a watch on this aspect.

I could not trace the Fitch rating on Varun Shipping. Please reproduce the same.
With due regards for the global rating agencies, my optimism for this company is based upon the anticipated rise in global demand for oil & Gas. The rise in domestic auto sales and the positive signs of revival of our industrial production should contribute to our increased domestic consumption of oil & gas. AHTS vessels would continue to be in demand by the offshore oil exploration and production companies.
Our gas production in KG basin may be short of our domestic demand for quite considerable time and as such we shall continue to depend upon LNG imports.
Cairn Crude is to be shipped from Gujarat Coast to Mangalore and the increased volume of production from Jamnagar refinery of RIL needs tankers. These would certainly increase the overall demand for tankers of Indian Shipping companies.
As such, Varun shipping can hope for the deployment of its fleet of tankers and AHTS Vessels fully with better freight and charter rates and its topline and bottomline should have impressive rise during FY11. The Q3 and Q4 of FY10 should provide positive indicators after poor FY09 and HY ended 30th September, 2009.
Non-payment of interim dividend is a good financial decision under the current circumstances. It would reduce its requirement of raising further debt. The expenses on its debt servicing for the loans taken for acquisition of new ships are being met mostly from its internal accruals even during a bad period for the shipping industry.
Varun shipping with a Price to Book Value of 1.04 is a good BUY for longtime investment of 1 year or more. Any investment for shorter periods may not provide the desired gains. ...
