Every investment will have a boom time and also a depressed time like shares and gold. So far real estate investment was considered highly lucrative and the market has not seen dark side of the phase due to escalating demand from time to time. One of the reason for surplus investment is to save Income tax and concealing black money. But when the demand freezes real estate market would undergo severe slump like other investments and once the selling pressure sets panic situation may arise like shares. Now the time has come for saturation of demand and real estate price may dip with greater momentum....

Index has gone up by about 2000 points, hence today or tomorrow there may be short term profit booking....

Dear hp8989, Don\\`t compare stock price last 10 yers. If you take realeste, you know I had purchased a LAND for Rs 80000 in the Year 1999 and the Market value of that asset now is Rs 22 Crores. You think that this land is available for 80K in future. Not ata ll. Pl do not over assume yourself and think before writing.. All the best...
