I think you will agree with me when I say that these people becoming top ministers are all due to the alliance arithmatic and political chemistry. You may remember the DMK got their ministries assured in writing by the Congress management even before the elections. That is the fate of Indian democracy.
Gone were the days where politicians were humble and simple and were regarded and respected by the people for their service. Incidentally I wish to bring you a political anectode. There was a chief minister by name Kamaraj in Tamilnadu in the 1960s. He invited officials and engineers for a meeting in connection with the construction of a sub way near the famous Parry's Corner in Madras to avoid traffic conjestion near the RBI. The offcials expressed inability for the construction of the subway citing various reasons and justifications. The CM told them that he called them not to hear their 'NO' but to say 'YES' to his proposal.
After sometime the subway did come in the same place! The CM was not educated enough but he was fondly revered as 'Padikkatha Medhai' (Uneducated Pundit). He was a bachelor and when he died he had no money nor property.
